Has anyone here used the Marilyn Doheny 25" wedge ruler? I just bought it today & can't wait to experiment. But until I finish 2 projects i have going I'm not even going to get side tracked. Looks like it can be used for soooo many different things (all circular). I do plan on making Christmas Tree skirts with it & see how they go. I use to make Christmas Tree skirts many moons ago but not with this ruler. I can't wait to play...

My sweetie bought me one several weeks before Christmas, but I haven't had a chance to use it yet. I am anxious to try it out!!! 8-)

Yes, Izaquilter. I made a queen-sized wagon wheel quilt from Jinny Beyer fabrics years ago with the huge wedge by Marilyn Doheny. I had 40 different rainbow colors of her basics and used one wedge per fabric in color wheel order. The leftover fabrics were stripped and sewn in the same order and used to separate the cool antiquish beige Jinny Beyer background fabric as a border in fields and furrows order, also in the same color sequence as the center "Wagon Wheel." It hung in my shop for 10 years, and every time I took it down to rest the quilt, the din from the protesters made us put it back again.

When we retired and moved to rural Walker County, the quilt was given to a dear relative who served 3 tours in Iraq and was injured.

You have a fabulous piece of cutting equipment. It's no wonder you can't wait to play! Sorry I don't have a picture presently. My old computer crashed, taking all my uploaded pictures, so all I have left is what few pics I put on photobucket. My new computer is less than 3 months old, and I haven't even connected a printer yet, and it's not clear to me whether I kept a picture of that quilt in my photo album. If I did, it'll be a few weeks to get my own pictures downloaded.

I have one of those rulers, not that name. Made a tree skirt that I use every year and a round tablecloth with a beautiful butterfly set into it. Have that hung over the stair rail to the downstairs. Fun projects done in a class.

That is the ruler that I got to use with the Spicy Spiral Table Runner. Haven't used it for anything else, though.

I'm a gadget queen! LOL I LOVE GADGETS! GOTTA HAVE MY GADGETS, WHERE'S MY GADGETS...... I have several smalller wedge rulers but I saw this one somewhere (was it just in my head?) & the hunt started! LOL I'm still sitting here with all these ideas running thru my head & that's dangerous! I'd love to use all those fabrics I have in my closet someday & I'm hoping to experiment with them & this ruler. Guess I'd better get in there & get sewing so I can start, huh? Happy quilting everyone!
