Congratulations on your first quilt. I love the black and red together and you have done a wonderful job. Please post after you finish the quilting and binding. Look forward to seeing it all complete. :-)

Your quilt top turned out great!! Is it just how you envisioned it would be? I finished my first, by myself, quilttop last week. It is also a two colored quilt but in my case red and white. Mine has many different fabrics featuring those two colors. Tone on tone red. Red with a little white, white with a little red, etc. I didn't use any solids. I planned it out on graph paper first. It turned out looking exactly as I hoped it would. Mine is not perfect either but I love it just the same. I was sick last week so was unable to start the sandwiching next step. I am looking forward to seeing your finished product and I will post mine as well when it is complete.
