About 25 miles south of Albany and 4 miles east of I-5. Located on Hwy 228, it is a scenic route called "Over the Trails and Through the Woods" on way to Sweet Home.

Noticed your location, am formerly from Curtis, MI. We have dear friends, the Kinnears who live in Sault Ste. Marie, we will be back there in May to visit the U.P.

Thanks for posting about this. I was so sad when the other shop in Brownsville closed. I had heard that a new one had opened in a different location, but haven't had a chance to go there yet. Since we live so close, I hope we can meet someday. And to add to the happy coincidences this morning, I've been reading a series of books set in the U.P. I've never been there, but have been thinking that I would like to see that part of the country. (But not in the freezing winter months, which I understand number approximately 8.)

RE: U.P.---Apparently not this year! Just got email from girlfriend and it is 78 today and expect 80 tomorrow and they have been having mild weather all winter (but yes, my memory is of long winters!) Yes, it is very beautiful, I would suggest doing a fall trip, the colors are gorgeous and most of the pesky bugs are gone; from spring on it seems there is a bug for every letter of the alphabet and Alaska has nothing over on the mosquitos!
