Default What type/size needle for sewing on a tape measure??

Ok ladies. I wanted to know what type of needle you would suggest using to sew a tape measure onto a quilt for a height chart? I don't know if I should use a denim needle which is thick or stretch needle which is more pointed. Any thoughts?

I very rarely use a needle larger than a 12, occasionally do use a 14. I think either of these would work fine.

Is it a fabric tape measure or a plastic one? I fabric tape measure should be fine with your regular sewing machine needle. A plastic one I would increase your stitch length, use a size 14 with a little bit thicker thread? Stay away from the edge so you don't get a split.
