Well I finally went and dug out a old UFO quilt that i had started when my girls were young...how young do you ask..well let it suffice to say that they were still in diapers hehe... anyway had to go and try and match the thread to satin stitch the leaves and what is left of the flowers around the outside edge and that is all that is needed to do before I back and quilt it, now my delima... I do not have any granddaughters (yet) to pass it to all grandsons at this time....so i guess after i get it completed will have to put it away again until that day sighhhh...the quilt is a sunbonnet sue with her kitten and pinwheel from a old Mccalls magazine years ago... and where did I get the gumption to get it done..you guessed it from becoming a member of this forum and seeing all the wonderful posts and helpfull hints etc it made me want to get my old ufo's done do i can finally put them behind me and get on with my current quilt projects...
ya hoooo for this wonderful site.

Depending on the size of it, you can keep it for yourself as a bed quilt or if it isn't that big, how about a throw when you are watching TV.

My grandmother gave me an afgan she made to me before I had even thought of having children in case she wasn't around to give one. Thankfully she lived to see her 2 grand daughters to middle school. So making one ahead of time might be a good idea :)

Good job getting it finished, I'm sure the little girl who eventually ends up with it will be happy. Can't wait to see a pic.

Don't give up on a GD, after two DGS I finally got a DGD last year. I'm making her a Sunbonnet Sue for her first birthday next month.

I would give it to the daughter that it was meant to be for just a few short years ago. LOL She can either use it or put in away for a future granddaughter. Of course if you have more than one daughter you are going to have to make another.
