When you can't wait to go visit your kids, but part of it is to visit the quilt shops where they live.

Or when your family goes to a nice restaurant for your anniversary, & you start discreetly rubbing the tablecloth. Your son asks what is wrong, & your daughter rolls her eyes & says "She's trying to feel if it's cotton or not." (Guilty!)

I think there are many in the same boat. I has a pretty sunflower fabric. It had red and gray and black in it. and did't want to cut it up. but finally did and it turned out to be very pretty in the quilt.

When all you want to do is work on a quilt and resent anything else that gets in the way like cooking, cleaning, yard work, or being invited somewhere that you'd really love to go to, but all you can think about is- but I want to sew these blocks together!
