I agree with Lori about simple borders for depending on previous borders and color simple adds to it. too much flash can overpower.

Glad you are safe n sound Leota......as well as your quilting supplies!!!! :)

I've been busy working on various options for Jessica's center and have had some help. One of the patients I am recently caring for is a quilter who has experienced a very serious stroke and has lost all use of her left arm. Before retiring to Maine, she was a past quilting guild president in New Hampshire. She's been so sad/depressed but anytime we talk about quilting the change in her is amazing. I've started bringing into work with me different fabrics and border ideas and asking her advice and we've had a great time :) Quilting can bring a smile to anyone's face!

That's awesome Lori... sometimes we forget that stroke victims and the elderly have a past that they loved.

I'm quickly posting some pics of Jessica's center before I run off with my daughter to get her a new puppy. I'll post more later because of course there is a story to go with it. :)

OMG! Lori - that looks awesome. Great job everyone on this. I looks like a stain glass window.

Thanks,

The center is hanging in front of my bay window so the full view is showing the light from behind and the seams are showing up. I actually spent the weekend working on this at our cabin in the woods. The only electricity we have is with a small generator and my sewing machine and DHs tablesaw battled it out. LOL. He was putting up cedar tongue n groove walls and I'm hoping the center kept the scent. The close up pic shows the truest colors. I'm really pleased with how it turned our. Ill be putting this in the mail tomorrow. ........anyone else have pics ready to post?
