the postal service in the great state of Texas. I sent a package on Thursday of last week, with the expectation that it was to be delivered on Tuesday. It's now Wednesday and it's still "in transit" bouncing from one postal facility to another in that "whole other country". Anyone else having issues with package delivery? Or is it just me and Texas?

I had a package that arrived a week late. I saw the picture of it but it didn't arrive, didn't arrive, didn't arrive but finally came yesterday.

Also on the news I just happen to hear that the postal service wants cards and packages mailed now because they are running slow. I thought...that's odd...people haven't even started Christmas shopping yet and how many have their cards ready to mail and want them arriving before the turkey on Thanksgiving Day.

Our mail is now delivered around 3:00 or 3:30. Use to be 1:00/1:30. I suspect a lot of mail will be lost this year. :-(

My mail has been delivered around 5:30 pm for the last few days. I am thinking some of the workers are on vacation for the holiday and that the remaining workers are making up routes for them. But, it is only a guess.

I mailed yesterday and it is only a short trip, so I am hoping for the best. Crossing my fingers here.

I am so sorry to hear of the cancer, hav4boys. It is very hard indeed on both the patient and the caregiver. I pray all goes well for your mom. I am sure we all are there for you in what way we can be.
My brother is half way through his chemo treatments and my sis and I are the helpers. It is very hard, but, hopefully all will go well for him. So emotionally draining, not to mention a million appointments all over town.

Whoopee! My package made it to my ornament swap partner. Now I can relax and wait for the opening day party and wait on my little ornament package. That feels good to have it where it is supposed to be.

I know I've been amongst the missing, but being President of a State wide Quilting organization really has taken my time this time of year. Sorry excuse, I know, but truthful. However, I had planned ahead for this & had my ornament made months ago. So, they went in the mail yesterday & are winging their way to the North. Now that I'm pretty well caught up with other things, maybe I can jump in here a little more often.
