Crispy F-crazy that your breaks not healing. I've never heard of that. Take your cal mag and D and heal well.
Thanks for the kindness ya'll. Seems my surgeon wont do the thumb surgery until the Covid LH is resolved. I wonder if anyone is trying to figure out how to get us well. He said it's important that my lungs are at 100% or I might not wake up from the anesthesia, I have to wait a full month until I can even get cortisone/steroid shots. Meantime I'm going to start a Prednisone burst as all my joints are screaming. Too bad they can't do shots in all my joints.
I tossed a pillow today and screamed from the pain, I'm so not not not a screamer. I can't believe how much I miss NSAIDs, took them for granted for 20 years, till they almost killed me.
Yeah crazy but ya'll know that by now.
DD is getting married and leaving 7-31, we are making the most of the time. I've a list of things she can do for our business that can get her money. Another list of cleaning stuff and our baby movies to watch one last time. I wish she weren't moving so far away and that I could fly. Or drive, 16 hours in the car, my body freaks out at about 2 hours. Anything more is pushing my sanity.
The good news is that my little dog is coming around. He's been actually playing with me, not having accidents in the house and trying to be a lap dog. Our dog of 16 years died awhile back and so he's even barking less. It's like he got manners without all the distractions. He makes me feel like I'm not all alone when everyone's gone. Since Mom left it's just been so quiet and empty.
Ya'll think I talk a lot now, wait till I get on the Prednisone again... can't shut me up.
Glad all ya'll got your cards and are having nice birthdays. Have a piece of cake for me, Cheers!

Hi everyone, been off a while as my Son was visiting so not much time for other stuff. I got my candies in the mail earlier this week, and am watching for the surprise package - sure was a surprise to catch up and see that I won a drawing!

I love the jewel tones of the quilt you posted, Ibex94 and the subtle directionality of the little bits in each of the large blocks.Looks like a magnificent work of crumbs. Did the maker of this quilt post the finished size? (Sh-h-h That would help calculating out the size of the individual "big blocks.".
Thanks for the post and idea for us to use our 2.5's.

Sorry crispy frog that your leg isn't healing up. I'm sure the supplements will get you back on track. That had to be so frustrating!
Wendy, I hope things will get better for you soon. Long haul covid is no joke, I had it too. Not nearly as severe as yours though. Mine improved a good amount after getting the vaccine. I don't like getting vaccines but I'm glad I did.
Hope everyone is doing well. My incision is healing pretty well actually... There is still some bruising, it is still sore, but my spirits are up, and I'm starting to be able to do a little more each day with small setbacks. I've been drinking lots of water as ibex suggested and I think it's slowly helping.

Hey there 2.5 gals, I just opened today's Missouri Star tutorial and Jenny is using 2.5s! She starts with a jelly roll and it is RWB but who says we have use strips that are RWB? The translation to our piles of 2.5 candies would be easy peasy!. Take a look and consider it for your pile of birthday treats.

Hi ladies! Good to be back from our vacation in Kentucky! We had a lovely time and made many memories! We had bonfires and enjoyed the slower life with nature. There was no wifi or cellphone service at the cabin but it was perfect that way. I even got to stop at a small LQS and bought two fat quarters, a rainbow charm pack and a mini 60° angle ruler. I'll mail my June candies out to the birthday girls this afternoon or tomorrow.
