yahoo yes yes you should I promised Anastasia I would not goad her into this swap. I will push her for Christmas in July however. She is grand at ornament swaps maybe a fabric basket swap. .. hum those leaf shaped fabric bowls.. yeah if its artsy we can drag her into it. but I am good right now and wouldnt begin to suggest it. like a bright and black chicken block swap.. or things like that. not suggesting anything. til she finishes her classes.. think I have another 7 weeks to be patient.. sigh. such a strong suit of mine.

Elainelquilt, you need to send me a PM with your information before I can include you

Le Brat.. you have longer than 7 weeks.. haha this set of classses is 15 weeks so it goes til end of April. I like the idea of a fabric basket swap.. hmmmmmmmm. I love those leaf bowls as well. Or maybe a chicken pin cushion swap.. heheh. or I guess a bright and black chicken block would be a good one as well. or maybe just a funky chicken block.. Like.. snakeskin and hot pink chicken.... (sorry I just looked up at my monkey that sits by my tv, it's face/hands/belly is pink flannel and it's body is grey snakeskin..

If I can find it, I'll include a picture of a gathering at my house with my buddies during the Mardi Gras season -- that's my walking group. I'm taking the picture, so you'll have to look behind you to see me!!

Hmm now i kinda want to do a swap where it's kinda like a mini boom swap.. but we send each other the funky fabric for our "chicken" and they have to combine it with black for the background and any embellishments for chicken "hair".. and make a funky chicken block.. hmmm.. Or we could send each other black, and they find the funkiest fabric they have (or bright) and make a chicken...

Hi everyone, I could not resist and decided to join in the fun. I am bringing chocolate (M&M's)and a bottle of wine for those of you who like it. I only like really sweet wine and no one ever has that so I don't ever drink much of it. And at that, one glass is my limit.
Since we have a while to get started on this project and I finally made it through all 14 pages of this thread, I can see this will be a lot of fun getting to know you all better. One of you lucky ones will be the recipient of my already begun table runner in 'spring colors'! I started it about 3 years ago and really needed this incentive to get it finished. I made 3 and sent the other two to my two daughters and never finished this one. So I am hoping you like soft but not bright spring colors. Otherwise, I will have to re-thinkj my plan. :-) I think it is pretty though.
Plus it is still winter here so some days are taken up with cleaning snow off the sidewalk and driveways. That is why I am glad to have some time to get this finished. Will send this off and look forward to finding out who my partner will be. :-)

oh you probably wont have anyone flipping up their nose at your spring runner Sandy. I am sure it will find a lovely home. welcome!

Ok Vanogay here is this pretty table. you had it set up so nicely. and a lovely group of friends to enjoy a meal with! but.. how come nobody has booze in their hand like a hurricane? and second you need more beads like everyone has to wear at least 10 strands plus feathers and well I think you had best hit JoAnnes again for this years huppala. nice photo thanks for sharing.

I am up for making anything for my partner. bring it on.. still thinking chickens.. or cats.. or big flowers, sunflowers, tulips, cottage roses.. brights or pastels. come on suprise me.. sure hope you wrote down something especially drum roll.. SIZE of your table. not oh any table or my dinner table. some people have for people tables some have 12. size is semi important and if you want a tablemat maybe you said ideally in this size range?? if notsorry Anastasia but asking them to tell you because it will make not only my life easier but all of ours. maybe you can add it to the mail ins we sent to you? not that MANY of us yet. Still .. more to come? hum..

Know how you gals feel............. I too have had a bad experience with the swaps. That is one reason I have not entered many on the swaps.... kind of put a bad taste in your mouth..... when you give 100% + and don't even get 50% back. There are always those in life who are looking for something for nothing and take the fun out of life.

Well not that I have vented maybe I should give the swaps another chance....... as I do feel there are many more good things in life then negative things.

Jump in Scrap, we're a good bunch and I think everyone got their runner last time - you'd need to check with Ana on that, though.

I am going to jump in on this one, too. Deb (Monstookie) you enlightened me when I saw you at the quilt shop on Sunday and I am going to think of the swaps as more of gift to someone I don't even know. I will take my chances and I am one that will definitely give 100% the same as you Deb.

Dont' worry.. I sic the big dogs on people who don't hold up their end. We had a good run last time. Some were late, but everyone did receive a runner (or they should have, according to my records). One way or another. Remember in this one, it says you must PM me when you're ready to ship but do NOT ship until both partners are ready to ship. That's to help eliminate that whole feeling of sending to someone who doesn't hold up their end and they got something for nothing. This way if the other person never "finishes" maybe you can be re-paired or be an angel or something like that. No one likes to get stiffed when they worked so hard on their end. But we do this for fun right? So everyone keeps telling me.. hehe

I'm all over that black with chicken swap. I'd really like to do batik chickens, but maybe that'd be too much for this group quite yet.
