Hey now, if you're serving ice wine, count me in! I'll bring a bottle or two from the Finger Lakes. I have a 2005 Lakewood Vineyards Borealis, made with concord grapes that I've been dying to break into! I also have a 2009 Lamoreaux Landing Riesling Ice that we brought back from our trip last spring that I really liked. If you can't tell, we have a thing for wine, which is funny since we only drink socially. So, we have this wine rack over the fireplace that's half full, and collecting dust until we go somewhere that calls for us to bring a bottle, then we nab one on the way out the door. I'm a riesling fanatic and my boyfriend is a "match the wine with the food" guy. Oh, that reminds me, I have a bottle of 2011 Chateau St. Michelle Harvest Select Sweet Riesling in the fridge waiting for a good opportunity for me to have it all to myself with a long hot bath...

I love sweet wines. Send them to meeeeee. Whenever I visit my friend in Missouri she drags me to all sorts of wonderful vineyards with free tastings and we get wine drunk. Sooo I'll be right over! but I'll have to bring my homework. And.. uhm.. heyyy there's a test for alcohol.. can I take all your peeople's blood? that'll help wth homework.. and my nerves might be steadier with alcohol.. I shook so darned much in class today.. ugh. Didn't shake the first time but I had substances on board that I didn't have today. sigh. Looks like I'm gonna have to get a refill.

I'm not playin cause I aint go any time! hehe. And I'm slow as dirt. and I suck at this.. and I learned on the last one that I greatly dislike the quilting process. I love piecing, and designing.. and then it's no longer fun for me.. hahaha. Mostly I just have no time. And if I did have time, I should probably use that time to do my dishes (hides from Le Brat)

Well I'm glad we got that out of the way - truly I'm not a lic-head - I don't do a lot of drinking at home - I like a beer now and then and tried some new ones this past weekend - we toured the Summit Brewery in St Paul - and they gave you three glasses to sample beer when the tour was over; I really liked the Horizon Red Ale -it's a stronger hops flavor - different but good.

I finished my doll quilt tonight for another swap - yea!!!! two days left to spare.

You all have a wonderful day - I'm tying a fleece blanket with my daughter tonight.

i love a delish white merlot, and there's a pomegranate liquor which i adore, and i love riesling! i'm willing to sample any others but it all goes into my tally of 6 drinks per year. usually it's a margarita! i went to the philly flower show last year and they have a wine/liquor tasting and they had wedding cake vodka-- swear to whatever, it really tasted like wedding cake!
now, down to biz... i have finished the runner for my partner and she is out of town and asked me to post it for her. as soon as i get the card downloaded i will post again. i had sooooo many issues with the fmq, but, if she rides through the house on a galloping horse it should look just fine. i had a new kind of batting, a new adhesive and metallic thread so i can't really be sure what the issue was, but it was skipping stitches and i cleaned the bobbin out 3 times just to be sure that wasn't the problem. very frustrating since my fmq was really coming along. poop! i hope she won't be disappointed.

let's see if this works! my hands are shaky at the most inconvenient times, so these are not the best quality pictures. now, everyone get on your horses and start galloping! the first runner is the one i made for bibliostone. and a close up of a mitten set. i bought the pattern and kit, and then used my own fabric choices. elise's carpet is teal and i hope i chose the right color. everyone has their own opinion on what teal is. ask 5 people , get 6 answers.
the second table topper is from marilyn to me! isn't it gorgeous! she nailed my color scheme. btw, 66 flying geese! so glad they're not a flock of real ones! that would be a terrible mess.
the final picture is a pin cushion i made for elise. hope she is pleased.

I love it Nancia! the teal is great and your so right on colors. the flying geese came out so lovely and I think thats a cupcake pincushion maybe? it looks like my idea of photography!!! what is it with these cameras that they cant adjust for that?my daughter tells me MOM its not the camera. smarty pants.

Ok it is alright I think to cyber drink and it doesnt get you drunk. at all even! I think those flavored things should be banned. Or at least call them how to get smashed in five easy minutes. I tried a sip of a long island ice tea my so had and said wow that is pretty good it really does taste like iced tea. then he informed me it has like five liquors in it and I thought it should be called Make me a lush tea. That is a nightmare waiting to happen. though pomegranite sounds pretty good. and ok fine Marybeth I am a wine snob and I freely admit it. My brother in law was a wine manager for this high end wine store and he used to bring cases of wine over that the reps brought in and we would have this grand wine tastings. I got used to the finer ones flavor wise. My hands are in the air. I admit it. I liked the good ones lol.

ok sewing what are we sewing. I am in for 4.00 i will send 4.00 to you thats all thats in the wallet right now. figure it out Ana. you could use that buck plus this 4.00 for gas and well fill your tank in no time. Anyone else got quarters? big bucks?

I have oodles of grand easter fabric compliments of Ms. Marybeth. She kindly sent me a bunch of cool easter eggs and such awhile back and I would be happy to use it on your cloth if easter makes you happy. I have great tulips and also lets see.. some pretty brights and also some daisys and lets see chickens and flying pigs (eventually someone is going to be a pig lover and that fabric will fly out of here). oh oh gingham did i tell you I have pink and green and yellow and purple gingham..

ANASTASIA get back in the kitchen right now. I am watching you. oogle eyes oogle eyes ..
blood you can take my blood kid. Everyone else does why not you and I dont scream or wince or make funky faces. I dont love it but its not the end of the world. Just dont go right through the vein. My Dh's daughter is working at a hospital. She just got her degree and is taking blood. she loves taking the blood. yikes. She said its her favorite job in ER. total yikes. That and ultra sounds she likes doing those too. I would think taking blood would not be my first pick. No one likes you lol.

Oh, I just got back from the grocery (made it home before the heavens opened up) and I got cash back. So I have more than that $4.00 to contribute - and if it's filling a gas tank for that college kid, I'm open for that. Where's my name? Who's my partner?

You guys realize I drive a suburn and gas is $3.29 here.... 30 gallon tank.. 40 miles a day.. 5 days a week... get to collectin! hehehe

Oh nancia.. you come to join me in the world of frustration of beautiful silver metallic thread that calls to you "i'm so pretty, and perfect, use me use meee.. you won't rip out your hair, I promise, use me".... only to learn it's a LIEEEEEEEE..

So.. since mine was winging it's way really far away and may not get there for awhile..well you can look in my album "Projects" if you want to see it.

I got my quilt for my neice back from the longarmer today. Kitties gave it their seal of approval.. I love the quilting, it's perfect for the quilt. It's a very "organic" quilt.. lots of leaves and things.. so it went perfectly. and the colors did as well. Now I have to bind it and hand it over. If she doesn't like it, I disown her and keep it
