So it's a flake & shake? Someone flakes & you shake it off?

Oh look at the time. It's after midnight. That explains why I'm feeling silly. Time for sleep!

I was just about to ask.. your playing when you answered that. I think if they were flip and turned you could then stitch it up towards itself gently on some petals couldnt you if your fusing no idea.

Today was special treat day for me. Tracibug put her two beautiful boys in the car and drove 3 hours to come visit me. I was honored and so happy she did. We played with her fabric, with my fabric and had I think a very nice time. The boys were extremely sweet and well behaved and one even came back in on the way out so he could hug me good bye. Wow. Boring old me! Traci showed me a new way to make a binding and we traded a few pieces of our stash with each other. She was kind enough to relieve me of poinsettas. I won out however with some grand pieces that will help me finish out another project. I WAS woefully out of yellow. Did I remember to take a pic with her? NO so we will just have to get together and take some next time. Thank you for your visit today Traci.

Awwww those black monkeys are too cute!! Do you know who makes them?

My boom fabric for my youngest son has primary colored sock monkeys on it.

You can't see it, but the fabric on the far right with the squares, some have monkeys in them & others have frogs. That's what ties these fabrics together.

Despite the rocky beginning, today was a grand day. The drive was beautiful, the visit was awesome. Show and tell, swap the stash, delicious food and good chatter. One cannot go wrong at all...

AND my mom's mug rug is complete with square corners and ready to mail. WOOT!!

Next time, a bit more planning and time allowed and we will both have productivity!!

Thank you, Linda. Youre a fantastically fun lady and im so thankful for this board and the folks im meeting. Hope we didn't tire you out too badly :-)

gee, dusty's mom, any of that for me?? i have an idea for yours--just need to finish a couple things and go stashping ( stash shopping for those who muuust have it spelled out, lol). it would be soooo sad if i didn't have just the right thing to make your runner. that fabric moratorium has so far not worked out well for me. i thought i'd be saving money and instead i'm sure i'm spending more. AND, i have run out of room!! yikes!!!

It has stamped on it that it's designed and produced exclusively for Joann, so I'm guessing it's one of their staple fabrics, but I don't see it on their page. I got it at their store in Columbus, GA about 3 months ago. I want to say it was on the clearance table though, so they may not stock it anymore.

Since you're into monkey decor...

Yeppers! Gotta go get the background fabric for you missy. Ms. Ana knows what design I'm making...neener neener!

The fabric moratorium is a necessity at this point, even if it just slows me down. To give an example, I went looking for a piece of fabric that I used on LoupEsprit's runner, because I needed a little piece for your runner. I dug for 20 minutes and finally found a scrap. I was worried that wasn't going to be enough, even though I only need a little, so I dug for another 15 minutes before I found it. Thing is, compared to most stashes I see, I don't really have a ton of fabric. It's just all still in Walmart, Joann, and Hobby Lobby bags, mostly grouped by project & stuffed in one side of the quest room closet, stacked almost waist high.

OH dear you two... tsk tsk such a burdon. tons of fabric. woe is you.. sigh. however that said I get extremely nervous with things just laying around. I need to use them or chuck them .. I have a full bin, a half full bin and a shelf of little pieces.. and I get lost in that. I just thankfully relocated to a good new home a bunch of polka dot fabric pieces. not enough to do big things with but all will end up at least 2x3 and up to 4x5 .. may they become a new treasure. I wont use them. I thought I might but I have other things that are also like that and soon it becomes a cycle save it for a good day, these are still good.. but you wont use it on a good day. your going to use that new fabric you have and well it gets old , it goes out of style as fabrics do.. and you two need a moritorium. How can it slow you down if you have so much btw?

Elisabrat, I don't feel I have too much in general, just too much for the lack of storage and organization I currently have. If I don't get something going now, it's going to be like the commercials where people open the closet & get buried by what falls out.

By the way, I went to Hobby Lobby this evening, despite the rain. I managed to walk out with only 2 yards of fabric.
