Just took a look at all those pictures you posted - WOW - those table toppers are crazy - I wonder what Martha really has on her table. Can you really see her having her Christmas cards stacked up all over her table?? I'll stick with a quilted runner - and will gear it to the color choices. And you better not say "surprise me" cause I have had these swappers do that and I hate it!! Next time I think I will really surprise them with outlandish color combos!

Hehehe there are quite a few people that have said essentially "surprise me" Martha .... is looney.. hahaha but she's a heck of a lot more crafty than I am so kudos to her. I wonder if that's a requirement of being crafty? being a complete nutjob? I'm halfway there... hmm

Ok.. homework done. now I need to get other crafty work done.

if the Martha in question is the Martha Stewart? she gets her ideas from her staff silly. She just gets to be the presenter. I love love the tv show that was on for a while called Oh really Martha her daughter and a friend did a how easy is that project really thing and they would try to reproduce a craft that martha did with some pretty hysterical results and yeah they turned out like things WE might make not the tv set camera crew made. I liked it. reality at its finest. so are you playing or not playing today Anastasia?

who ever gets my little table gift had better like either red/white winter theme or perhaps cream and green because those are my two little ideas and I am sticking with that. Not sure they will go with Jabas orange tie dye but perhaps with Quiltermomma's purple and hot pink kitchen it might be an option. My mixed up house celebrates all holidays and seasons regardless of the colors we would live by if I hadnt put up every seasonal colored item so I am easy.. I can handle all colors! except I would prefer no tie dyes. so I vote this: you can all make me one! this way my tables will never catch colds.. just PM anastasia for my addy and send away send away... smiling, I like that one "send away" send away you can all send away send away" join me on this one come on one two three send away.. send.. ok ok I will stop. lucky you guys I am out of here for a week you will miss me.. oh wait, taking lap top guess not you wont miss me at all.

I would have loved that reality show - her daughter put it on!!! WOw that really must have been something! I know alot of people loved her - I wasn't one of them. We lived a few towns over and heard all the horror stories that the staff would tell!!
And as for singing - whenever I do my laptop starts to shake and crashes!! But I will listen to you!

Here is the one I made on Saturday with a friend. Went over to her house at 5:30 am, men went fishing and DH caught three steelhead trout but had to throw one back because was to small and a natural. We embroidered all day except she made me stop for lunch. This did take all day to make, just put the borders on this morning since I was waiting for my embroidery machine to make snowflakes for the winter block exchange because I need those blocks to finish my Christmas UFO for Marlena. I am so wordy sometimes. Anyway, this is not "Winter" but is sure is a beautiful Christmas runner. I know, not quilted yet but have a customer quilt on longarm that I am doing then all my runners will go on. I have three Thanksgiving runners for the craft show in the work. Can someone give me some coffee please. We ran out at home this am and instant is ....... Must have kind words. getting some coffee now at office.

QM I love the peppermint runner - it would look nice on my buffet cabinet. No emboidery talent so all I can do is admire the talents of others; thank you for sharing. I too have had issues with bitter instant coffee (my boss used to call it instant slop "RIP John") and I found an interesting tidbit in Heloise. "Put a pinch of salt in with your instant coffee - it takes away that bitterness" - I've tried it (thanks to a few SP packages/kindness of others) and now I can drink instant coffee - it really works.

Thanks for the salt idea. I don't have a grinder so I get whatever bag of coffee that's made from the same things the beans are. Is that instant? eheheh. But I get awesome flavored stuff and I doctor it up something fierce with sugar and creamer so that I can feel my teeth rot right out of my skull (I have ZERO cavities) because of that coffee taste.

Today, I'm still not playing. yesterday i was playing, today I'm not.. heheh. I got a job ya'll! It's a long term temp job, pays a little less than my last job but I"m convinced that last job paid that much so people could afford the therapy they needed to keep working there. I sure did. still got a big bill from it too. anyways, it's with Wells Fargo, which I've temped with them 3 times now and it's always good leave me alone dress how I want kind of job. It'll be reviewing incoming documents for foreclosure making sure they're accurate so that if they HAVE to foreclose, then everything is correct and ready. But I'll get BENES! YAY BENES! And it's 2nd shift and near my school so I won't have any problems with school, other than needed excessive amounts of coffee to stay awake and survive. That's the exciting part.

And why exactly are peppermints and hollies NOT winter? Looks like winter to me.

I love the peppermint table runner. YOu can send it to me (if you get my name) or you can send it to me (if you don't get my name) - either. You can even send it without quilting it and I'll finish it!!! I agree with Anastasia - since when isn't that Winter? And someone else mentioned red and white - Put me down for that, as well. I'm not sure bout the tie dye...

I will go on record as saying, if someone wants to make a non-holiday runner or wants a non-holiday runner as a recipient, I'm ok with filling that role.

Also, I love black and white. Just saying...
