Well... it started out that I needed to get some practice fabric for setting up The Six on Wednesday. And I had to bring my son with me because he had his winter choir recital and they let him go home early. No one else could make it to the recital, so I used the camcorder app on my phone. Which drained my battery.

Then my son decided we need to make Cars (the movie) fleece tie blankets for 2 of his friends. That drained my debit card. I should have just waited and gone tomorrow while he's in school. Valuable life lesson learned there.

I usually go to Joann during the day, since I'm not working right now and it's 45 minutes each way, but I never go alone, and it's me that is the drain to the card, lol. I went last week to get 1-2 things to finish up a teapot cozy for my boyfriend's mom, which I'll be throwing together today, to match the placemats that I made her (that seemed to never end) for Christmas. I ended up spending $150. But....they had an awesome sale on Guterman thread (I got the box set that has about 20 spools for $20, plus 2 spools of white and 3 big spools of variegated thread for 50% off and 2 more spools of transparent thread), and of course I raided the remnants that were 50% off. Now I'm going to have to spend some more money and either make some storage bins for all this fabric I'm accumulating or buy some plastic bins to put it all in. My boyfriend opened the guest room closet the other day and saw all my plastic bags (sorted by stash and upcoming project) and had a fit about not being able to get to anything else, lol.

You beat me to it! I was just putting the pics on the computer so I could share!

I got the most PERFECT runner from DustysMomma in my mailbox last night!!! It has my Christmas Blues, and COFFEE!!!! And it's even reversable with ALL coffee and some eye-spy mugs on the other side! I love it! I was so giddy over it, my husband and his best buddy were making fun of me for being so grin-ny over it.

But Dusty, I have to ask; exactly WHEN did you find time to sneak in my house and measure my kitchen island?? It couldn't POSSIBLY fit more perfectly!!

THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!!!! ::happy dance::

Haven't heard that my swap partner received hers yet - but, I haven't taken the time to check my confirmation number either. Will try to remember to do that tonight after dinner. Lots of really neat runners/toppers showing up. I'll be waiting for the mailman to bring mine, but I know that they don't have to be here until the new year - just have that anticipation......

Tracibug, what a nice guy you have holding your runners. Love the lower lip!!!
Traced my package. My partner received her runner on the 14th, but she hasn't posted here at all. I do hope she likes it. I have that problem, when someone doesn't at least acknowledge receipt, I begin to think my gift was not liked and that's their way of blowing me off - terrible, isn't it?
Ana, great on your grades and keep the bugs at bay so you can enjoy the holidays.

Vanogay happens to me ALL the time the worry the oh heck I blew it.. you my dear are not alone. Just two seconds to say thank you even if you cant post a pic is the right way to do things. I think it is the do unto others thing that is going on.. and we all want acknowledgement. Maybe they are gone for a few days ? I will wish you a posting asap if you don't get a response ask Anastasia to check in with them and if that doesnt work show us your runner as I am always loving these showings.

Tracibug you lucked out big time. I am loving sock monkeys too ..my husband is scared of them lol.. yes yes he is. The twister is wonderful and I think you scored big time. Hey you got TWO?? WOW lucky duck.

Today I will work on finishing at least the top to my second runner. I have two cut one sewn and then to figure out the design I want. Not sure what say you to a shorter than 36" table runner? is that unusable or should I make it larger? its going to be about 28" right now.. my partner did not post what size she wanted to receive.
