Or anyone who may be interested.

I have plenty of fabric (black & white prints excluding the solid blacks or solid whites) left over from the black and white swap and thought some of you may be in the same boat. Is anyone interested in a swap for 3.5 x 6.5 bricks?

My other question is...is anyone interested in hosting this swap? I am still dealing with time constraints at work and can't or shouldn't commit to anything extra at this time  but I would love to have a sampling of various black and white prints. The turn around time could be as quick as you want it since the fabrics are already washed, pressed and there is no sewing/piecing involved.

I'm interested, but have family until 8/17/09. After that life will subside.

I have the room to do it here at the office if you want me to host it. Can it be done for September? Ship to me by 9/15/09. When I receive them all, I can send them back out (with the postal service, hopefully, 9/30/09). We can "borrow" from Coletta's experiences.

Let me know- how many bricks? (The last brick swap we did 5 fat quarters cut into fifteen bricks yielding 70 bricks). If we did this- the 5 fat quarters (i.e. 70) would be a set.

I would be interested in larger pieces - at least 8.5 x 8.5, preferably 10.5 x 10.5

The reason for asking 8.5 and/or 10.5 is that there is a lot more flexibility into cutting it into smaller pieces.

I've had 6 inch squares - that I cut - and have not been able to get three 2x6 strips out of them. I always end up short on that last strip. Doggone if I know why. I KNOW I cut relatively accurately -

This is a cool idea, but I don't have any left over. I bought FQ's to make my blocks and only have teeny scraps left over. Hmmmm....maybe this is why my stash doesn't seem to grow like I think it should...I need to start buying lots more than I really need

You are probably wise to buy only as needed - and you can always make something miniature with the scraps

Here are some pictures of my finished quilt top from the Black & White Block Swap. I wanted to stay with the black & white theme all the way through. After I quilt it, I will bind it in solid black binding. I just love the way it all went together. EllenK
