I'm responding as I think we're the only ones up yet, lol. I think it's the vehicle registration plate. As far as I can tell, some quilt shops have created a mock up of a car number plate and quilters are collecting them. In the US they often have a picture symbolising the state the car was registered in.

Although not relevant, I think they only display a plate on the back of their vehicle, but I could be wrong.

Meet Rosie! We adopted her from a dog rescue called Many Tears in Wales, UK. It's a rescue that re-homes mostly puppy farm (mill) dogs. Once rescued they are spayed, inoculated and wormed etc then put into foster care to learn what it's like to live in a house, meet people, etc.

(The dog on the left is my Lhasa, Baxter.)

Knitette, how adorable they both are!!
immemother, the license plates and patterns are from the Row by Row experience
http://www.rowbyrowexperience.com/start-here.htm
If you cick on one of the "plates" it will take you that state or province and you can view all the license plates and rxr patterns for all the different fabric shops.
This is a pic of license plate from a shop near me.

Here is one of the pattern

Hi Knitette,

Love your new doggy-she looks so sweet! I don't know about all the other states, but here in New York we plate our cars front and back! The "license plate" from my local quilt shop also comes with a pin cushion pattern, in case you want to do something different with it. Hope you gals get your packages soon!

Here is the link to September Swap. I have had a lot of people forget to let me know when they received and only by researching and sending out pms do I find that they have mailed or received their. Please send a message to let me know. It only takes a minute.

I will be gone from Sept 10th through the 17th. Going camping, hope to catch some fish. Have not been fishing very often since Marty's cancer returned. She is friend of 50+ years for those of you who do not know . So we are taking off to a cabin in Creston Iowa for a week. I am staying at her house with her right now. She is too tired from chemo to cook or go down stairs to do laundry. So I help out where
I can. At the lake it is only about 20 steps to the dock. We will have a nice warm fire in fire ring each night and look at the stars and remember times gone by. They are so bright away from the city. I always feel at peace near the water, guess because I am a pisces lol. I always come back recharged, sounds silly I know but true.
