I was so good last year by having all my candies cut just as the year started. This year I've been so behind and get them cut at the last minute. I guess you can say that I am sending out "freshly cut" fabric.

Sunrise- your "freshly cut" candies are in the mail, and hopefully you will get them by Monday! By the way, they don't have an expiration date!

I am not sure if this is the right place to ask or not....but after getting all my candies in the mail (squueeeeeel), I was wondering if there was ever a swap done for candies of a specific color group?

Swap 25-50 of say...pinks one month, blues another, etc?

Interesting idea, Chris. I'm wondering about not just color groups, but maybe other "themes" to swap monthly:

30's, batik, I SPY, plaids, solids, Christmas....

I'm guessing the swaps would need to be a smaller amount per month, because of being more specific.

It could be fun!

I think it could be, too! I know they currently have an I-Spy one going on.....but love the "theme" idea.
I'd be willing to start, but unsure how to go about doing it

If there's ever a 5" charm swap, I'd love to participate in it. I do most of the I Spy charm swaps, but it would be awesome to have a stash of non-novelty squares as well.

There used to be a 10" (layer cake) swap, with themes like batiks, neutrals, etc., that I loved, too.

I'd offer to host, but we're scrambling to getting the house ready to put on the market in a few months, plus DH's truck was rear-ended Monday, and so far things have been messy as far as getting it resolved. Thankfully he's fine other than some soreness. The truck (his pride and joy, and our only vehicle) is fixable, but isn't driveable right now. It'll all work out eventually, but right now things are chaotic around here.

Bummer, I just recently joined the board and missed the sign up for this. I will keep my eyes peeled for next year. I am currently cutting up all my scraps into usable pieces and should have a sizable stack of "candy."
Also, I have done a private swap with someone on a different board, would need someone to recommend me. Hint, hint!
