Birthday Swap 2020/2021

I vote to continue the swap.
We have been very busy here and I haven't had much time to sew these past few weeks. We at last finished renovating the baby room. We tried to return the designs and feel of the 1870's and I think we did a good job! We completely restored the original hardwood floor that was buried under carpet and ugly old laminate from who knows when. These photos were taken before Hubby had hooked up the electrical outlets and replaced the door with an antique door I bought of Etsy. The drywall is all new and most of the insulation was replaced behind it. Actually, pretty much everything is new.
I am very proud of DH for all his work and I can't wait for the rest of the house to slowly start to look just like it!

NZ Quilter -- great room and very soothing colors. I love it!
I also vote to continue the swap.
I am also in Michigan and enjoyed the beautiful weather we had a day ago. I worked until 4:00 that day and then plopped on my back deck and read a book in the sunshine. It was certainly a special treat! And brought much joy!
Of course there have many things which make you realize things are really different now, but I think this weekend will be weird. Our family always gets together for Easter at my house, but with my oldest grad school daughter working part time at Walgreens we don't think she should be with my parents. But keeping so busy with other things I'm hoping we won't dwell on the sad.
I think I mentioned before I am an accountant so my past few days have been at work and trying to figure out all the loans and grants which are eligible for our business. I was feeling "stupid" about my progress until I read an article in the Washington Post about the slow progress the banks are having figuring out the rulings and getting the program started.
And that daughter is moving out of her apartment next weekend and back home until her third year of program starts in the fall. We were lucky her place was month to month at this point, so she put in to leave a month earlier than originally planned.
Take care friends!

Well happy to see you are interested in keeping the swap going. Yeah! I know all my fabric has been cut and in plastic since early February so I feel my fabric should be safe for all of you!
Remember when I said it was 71 degrees and beautiful out in Michigan yesterday...................
Well today 39 and off and on snow flurries and rain. Sounds like a good day to sew.
Wesing did you receive a package in the mail from me? Prize?
What makes you happy today?

I’m in for keeping the swap going.
What makes me happy today is our sunshine and the pups playing outside. It’s also a teen who has been walking the neighborhood daily playing various instruments. What a pleasure he’s bringing to so many.
Stay well everyone!

Hi Barb -
No I haven’t received your prize yet, but what’s making me happy is we have a beautiful spring day here in TN. My sister had someone come and do some work on Mom’s house. The worst thing going on in my house health-wise is a waning case of Conjunctivitis. I am still gainfully employed. I have a lot to be thankful for.

NZ I love all the hard work you and DH are doing. Just the structure of the wall in the room is so unique - keep sending pictures.
Yes please don't stop the swap. It doesn't matter - we will all have the same envelopes that will be sent out no matter~
What makes me happy -
we got out on the lake for an hour to kayak. This is in Prescott AZ at 5500 elevation, 48 degrees, sunny and low humidity.,We were the only ones on the lake and it was so peaceful. Granted it took an hour for my little toes to warm up - put so worth it.
Found out it is 2.4 miles around the lake so tomorrow will head over there and walk it.

Yes, I want to continue the swap.
My contribution to the conversation of what made me feed good to day is........... my daughter in Indianapolis texted me with a request for four masks. I found some lovely batiks that are just her colors. Then I searched another drawer and I found two other pieces of novelty print of the of the "Guess How Much I Love You" bunny print. Perfect for my rabbit loving girl from her mom who loves her immensely.
