BTW, I've a large box of 2.5" squares as this year I purchased a club from Fat Quarter Shop. They send me 4 stacks of Moda per month. I think there's 42ish square in each stack. Plus I think I bought a slew of them from Etsy. So yeah, large box. When I make my quilt I need to have a light and a dark pile for each color and need a way to keep them sorted (paper) by color. Our vacation by the pools (SLE so I stay in the shade) with nothing to do and over a week to do it. Might just be the perfect time to get it done.

Wendy, you have me beat. I have vowed to not buy any 2.5's for any reason. I have gotten into the habit of "religiously" cutting my scraps and trimmings from any current project into 2.5 squares or strips. Lordy, I have thousands! I keep mine in zip lock bags by color, novelty and Christmas. I then toss the ziplocks into a large bag the size of a gym bag. Sorting them initially is a pain in the rumpus but once done it is relatively easy to keep up with. Happy sorting by the pool in the shade!

Hey, there swappers, any one making quilts out of all of these little beauties? I hang my head because I haven't either since late in the summer. It is time to put these gems to use. Whip up something, a potholder, a pillow, a baby quilt and post it here to encourage us to move from collecting to show and tell.

I extend my biggest apologies to the October birthday girls; I mailed my birthday envelopes out yesterday. I really hope they all arrive quickly! This month has just been crazy and it feels like only yesterday was October 1st! What happened?

I hang my head as well!! September was filled with seeing family (one trip out to Colorado and the other out to New York!). Then I came back and jumped into the Boom. But at least, working on the Boom has sparked me again. I think since Covid started I did 1 1/2 projects. I did get a wedding gift quilt done and I started on our mystery here! So many people thrived with their quilting during the lock down, I didn't.

Thank you everyone. I am only waiting on 2 more packages and I still have a week before my birthday.

Just wanted to let you know that I will be out of town Friday until Monday. Going to Cincinnati to visit my sister and we are going to sew all weekend long! I hopefully will finish the mystery quilt. If so I will post photos.
