Am curious if anyone is making the Moda Block Head Blocks? I’ve just discovered them and am thinking of starting those for this year, although I’m way behind. Apparently this is the second year. Anyone else follow them?

Janice I worked on the Spjendid Sampler 6.5” blocks then started Moda. Decided they just took to long for the small size blocks. Patterns were pretty easy to follow.

That’s my thought too, that’s they’re small. Almost all my blocks have been 12 1/2. I do tend to find something I like and stick with it. Maybe I’ll try a few to see how I feel about the size.

Janice, glad all is well at your house! Prayers going out to the others that have so much damage. Sad!

My son and his inlaws rent a house on Panama City Beach right on the beach each year. Waiting for the owner to let them know if there will be "a house" there in June. They said the damage was pretty bad but they haven't been able to get to the house yet.

Well, Bibliostone was kind enough to donate some old Boom blocks she had, for charity quilts. Terriamn is doing the same, so I will soon be up to my eyeballs in blocks! I wanted to get B'stone's put together before Terri's get here, so I won't be so snowed under. Here is the first of the quilts from B'stone's blocks. I have no idea which Boom they are from (or some other swap?), but perhaps some of you recognize them. These made a sweet quilt for a little girl in a children's shelter, here locally. All of my group's charity quilts are donated locally.

I have 3 more quilts sandwiched from her Boom blocks and will post them as I get them quilted. Thanks, B'stone.

Hav4boys has donated some Christmas blocks which I will add to mine to make 2 Christmas quilts for donation.

Janice, I made all of the Moda blocks last year and have printed them out for this year so far but will have to play catch up to get sewing on them. I think with both years there will be enough blocks to make a decent sized quilt. They really are easy to sew and go together fast.
I got the new long arm set up so I can quilt here now. Sure made my room shrink in size but it will be worth it. I have got 1 quilt put together from the Boom blocks I received. I ended up making 15 more so this one is 5 X 5 blocks. Never done a set with the attic windows type block so decided to do that with this, I like how it turned out....hope you all do too.

Well look at you go! Back in fine form, I’d say. Love your setting. Beautiful, Jaba!

I’ve got both sets of blockheads (this year’s to date anyway) downloaded for whenever I’m ready to start. Now what fabrics to use?
