Love your fabric, Jaba. Just take care of yourself and we will make the blocks! Your quilts can be 'prayer quilts', as we'll be praying for you as we make them.

The focus fabric is so pretty. I had a dress for a recital made out of fabric quite similar. It would be fun to work with in a quilt block.

I too loved the sermon. Haha! Get it. “Loved” the sermon. Anyway, I guess he broke the rule by bringing in his iPad. Someone mentioned that the choir toned down their normal style to blend more with British culture.

Well, I am thinking of making a Halloween quilt. I would send F8 from my black/white print collection and a few others and have it be an anything goes with Halloween being the theme. Still working on details. Would that work?

I will send in my fabric but I do ask for one favor.....please do not feel that you have a make a block for me. Each one of you has to make time to sew these and your family and life are truly important. Some of you are retired and busy with your own projects and everyday things that you do and some are working, some have children still at home and some are taking care of grand children or their own parents..
I feel very privileged and appreciate your generosity. Thank you so much
Here's pics of the fabrics I have baggedEach has a generous piece of blender fabric to go with the print. Thank you again ladies

Yes, I think we could have a lot of fun with Halloween blocks. We've done Christmas, cigars, bras.... but not Halloween as long as I've been in the swap. Bring it on!

Default Boom Business

Back to Boom Business for a few minutes. Reminder that sign-ups close in 6 days, on May 31. At this point, we have one full 3 month group and a second three month group with 12 members, maybe 13. As always, if the 2nd group doesn't completely fill, we can "round up" (formerly called double up) which is essentially sending enough f8s to make a full group, it's not making two for every person. Those who wish to "round up" will send up to 19 f8s for the group. Those who don't want to will just send one for each participant. Either is perfectly fine with me. This next week we'll see if anyone else signs up. If not, I'll explain and discuss the way round up works further. This confuses a lot of people but trust me, it works. Send me 19 f8s and you'll get 19 blocks back even if we have less than the full number in the group. I'll sort it all out here.

So, for anyone interested in joining, we have a less than a week left in sign-ups. Speak up! We have room for more people.

NanaKathy55, please read your pm and reply asap. Thanks!

I think Halloween would be fun, are you thinking we should add Halloween prints? Do you like machine embroidery on your blocks?

Here is my fabric for Boom 21. And here is the note for every pack:

Hi Boomers! This fabric is for a patriotic quilt I want to make for my son who served in the Army. Feel free to use any color you think works for the design you want to work on. The joy of being an American is the diversity of life here so, all your blocks, whatever you chose to create, will be great for this quilt. Thank you for sharing your love of quilting with me! Allergy alert: I do have a cat in the house. -- Juana (ibex94)

I really am happy with whatever you creative people want to make. These are normal sized irregular stripes, despite how big they look in the photo, and the colors are pretty much those darker civil war hues that are rampant these days.
