Janice, glad you're feeling better. Go and enjoy your visit with your son. I don't mind having multiples of the same fabric for group 2. Whatever works for you.

I've been slowly doing some of the Sew Fresh Quilt designs for a Christmas Quilt for my goddaughter. You might have a sighting at Universal -- some people have taken their finished quilts and done onsite pictures! Enjoy your family time!

Janice I prefer option 1, so it doesn’t get to confusing. I just ask the boomers to use different fabrics on their blocks if at all possible.

Enjoy your time with your son and your friend when she arrives.

Option 1 is fine with me. Whatever you choose Janice is the best choice.

Good morning! Looks like we’ll be going with multiple F8s in the 2 month group. I’ve heard no objections so I’m good with that option.

Am sitting im the heart of Asheville waiting to meet DS and F(future)DIL for brunch and then I’ll be heading down the mountains back home. In the meantime, I’m watching set up for a giant annual craft show. Amazing pieces of work already and little is displayed since it doesn’t open for about 2 hours. Next year I’ll plan to be here to really check it out.

Have a terrific day everyone!

Janice can I get into the 2 month group and only send 7? I’ve always wanted to try two groups but haven’t felt comfortable enough doing it. This will ease me into it. And I want to get one of GramE blocks . So I can see her technique. I think I’d like to try it while I travel. So I would send 7 and everyone else will send 29. I will make a table runner.

So onto the Boom. The 2 month group currently has 7 members. We'll not fill that group since there are so few at this stage. One option will be for you each to send 19 f8s and I will distribute them among the members, meaning that you will have multiples of the same fabric. Some of you don't care for that but some don't mind. Most who signed up for the 2 month group are also in the 3 month so a second option is to absorb the 2 people who want only the 2 month group into the 3 month group. Making one group means only one set of fabrics this round. Those in the 2 month group, please give these options some thought. I'm inclined to go with option one but we need to keep in mind that if something happens to a member, such as with Joan last round, multiple F8s may be lost. And then there's the 3 month with a couple of vacancies now if my sleepy count last night was correct. If anybody wishes to join, please speak up soon! I'll post names again when I return from my weekend trip.

Thanks all, I am feeling better. Terriamn, I'm glad you're enjoying your lake time. Jaba, the grands pix are wonderful! GramE, I really like that blue and white quilt. It's been one of my favorites since you made it. MjpEncinitas, yes, go ahead and send a smaller piece but please no larger than 6 1/2 inches square please. Lstew2212, enjoy your Florida trip.

That's it for me. I've got to pack! I'll try to check in briefly but I might not be online until Sunday.[/QUOTE]

I'm working on the parts of Pamela's block that I have fabric for, and I am FPP. It has been a while since I did a picture FPP w/ tiny odd ball shapes. All the FPPing I have done lately has been repeat geometric where you can precut the pieces and sew the same thing 6 or 8 times anyway the song "It's all Coming Back to Me Now" keeps running through my head. lol

But when you fold me like this
And you cut me like that
I just have to admit
That it's all coming back to me
When I stitch you like this
And I meas're you like that
It's so hard to believe but it's all coming back to me
(It's all coming back, it's all coming back to me now)

we get so use to doing the same thing over and over again with quilting - I recently made 3 pairs of lounge pants for the summer - all with white thread so I did them simultaneously. I told DH is seemed strange to only do each step three times!

Janice, I didn't sign up for the 3 month group, but if you are short I'll gladly fill in (In addition to the 2 month group). I did not want to take up a spot from someone that could only do the 3 month group.

For the two month group, I plan on sending out 19 different tonal solids - with instructions to use prints and no neutrals ( no whites, creams, greys or blacks). I have no problem getting duplicates, I like to make all different blocks anyway.
