Rather than anecdotal evidence I always like to see the numbers. These are the ranges that include all the states. The article below will let you know your specific state numbers
Hospitalizations of vaccinated people are .5%-5%( depending on which state you’re in ) of all people hospitalized from Covid. Or 95% or above of the hospitalizations from Covid were unvaccinated people.
Deaths of vaccinated people from Covid represent between .2% and 6% (Depending on what state you live in) In other words 94%-99% of the deaths from Covid are unvaccinated people.
even if I were totally confident of my immune system I’m vaccinated so I won’t give it to my darling new grand babies, the woman I train who has a compromised immune system, the under 12 kids who play on the block . I got vaccinated to help keep my hospitals from filling up with Covid patients leaving no room for heart attack patients and others who need the emergency room
stay safe my friends, my heart would break if something happened to any of you.

I decided I’d better stop comparing my old sewing room to the new one and just dive in. So I did and I located my two latest projects, put up my design wall, rearranged some daily used sewing items and I’m actually in good enough shape to sew for the first time in what, three months? Woo hoo! Happy gal!

Yippee our house sold. The buyers have been incredibly easy to work with compared to couple who made the first offer on house. Hoping hubby will be able to relax now and be his old self
Was up at 4 this morning sorted through 8 full moving boxes. So much fun to ohh and ahhh over fabric and blocks. Even started a donation box of things and fabric i will never use
Jayne how exciting on the sail boat lessons. Hubby and I had a smaller sailboat, not a live aboard and we loved it. He wanted to retire to a sailboat or catamaran also but I get motion sickness to easily. Just think it won’t be long and you’ll be enjoying the sun and the sea

Great news on the house and your sewing room, Terriamn. What are you going to start on first?
This morning I started a few blocks for a scrappy quilt. I got exactly three seams in when I got a call from DS. Apparently the grand has to come home from daycare bc they think she has pink eye and her parents have an important business meeting. I’m dropping everything and going to sit with her this afternoon. Well, that’s why we relocated, to be closer and spend more time with them. I get to come to the rescue today. Super Grandma!

Eons ago, I participated in many of the boom swaps ... My Dad was a huge part of my participation. Once he passed away, I lost most of my sewing mojo and just "collected" fabric and hoped that some day I would start again.
Recently I decided 8 years was long enough to brood so I pulled out some blocks and started in. This top comes from ... hold on ... don't faint ... Boom #14! I didn't go back and add it to that link as I didn't know if anyone would be notified of it or not.
Hopefully some you will recognize your blocks. I thank you for making them way back when.
I doubt I will do any swaps ... at least not now as I have an overwhelming amount of "catch up" projects.
I have peeked in over the years and looked at some of your treasures and missed all the fine folks that helped make mine and Dad's days in the past.

Moonwork, so good to hear from you. I hope you are well. I remember these boom 14 blocks. They were the first ones that made me like orange! Stop in anytime and say hello. We won’t be having another boom until after the holidays. Maybe you’ll feel inclined to join us then.

I suspect our government is very worried that the workforce is going to suffer tremendously with COVID fatalities and that is why they want to make this one of the "must take" vaccinations for our defense personnel and corporations. If we loose that educated class too fast, our country will suffer. Instead of providing the extra vaccinations to other parts of the world, they are encouraging us to take them. Seems heartless to let the rest of the world die away just because they don't have money. The conspiracy theorist in me says that there is much the government isn't telling us.
I don't want to lose any of you to this virus! Please be safe everyone!

Hi everyone, sorry I've been away for a while. We just have two covid scares back to back. Poor baby girl had to take two tests, both turned out to be negative, but it was enough to lose some sleep. The waiting between test and result is awful while attending to a sick child. So far, she has missed almost two weeks of school. She is much better now and we are just waiting for her to be symptom free for 24hrs before returning to school.
I try no to think too much about the politics of vaccines. The only thing I know is with vaccines, my chance of getting sick is lower and if I do get sick, my chance of going home to my baby is high. I watched news about these unvaccinated parents who died of Covid and left behind young children makes my heart ache. Then I see these vaccinated and unvaccinated parents being so careless about protecting their own children. It angers me how they put my child at risk.
