We are getting a lot of rain here, which is good, as this means we may be out of fire season. I was going to go to my first guild meeting today, but decided I’d rather spend that time quilting. My husband’s been gone for a few weeks and I spent a lot of time buying stuff for travel. We needed two suitcases, I bought a snorkel mask with prescription in it and regular swim goggles. I keep telling myself: ‘this is the last time you’ll ever need to buy this stuff’! Being over 60 has its benefits.

Yes my husband has had one for 35 years. But it broke this past week last week on his Mexico
catamaran trip. I’ve decided to get one. I don’t have good far vision and I decided my last 20 years years of snorkeling will be with a mask I can see with. Snorkeling is one of my favorite activities. I’m more comfortable snorkeling than hiking.
We are headed to Maui, a trip we actually bought tickets for before the pandemic. We snorkel in the morning and hike in the afternoon. Don’t do too much restaurant stuff or night life. We do get poke every day at the grocery store and will probably eat at a lot of food trucks. I have a dear friend who just moved there. We’ll be spending 4 of our 14 days with her, cat sitting for 2 of those 4 days.
I’m looking forward to it. It’s very different than our van trips.

MAUI! I lived there for 12 years of my young adult life. I lived on West Kuiaha Rd., (on the way to Hana, if you go there.) I met my hubby and got married on Maui too. You will have a blast! Share some pictures, please! It's so different now, from when I lived there.

Great blocks everyone! I do believe this has been one of the best booms to date!
MJP, love the Haunted House!
My basement is almost done and ready to be returned to my sewing room. I need to do one more layer of mud around the new window, paint and clean! Hopefully, it will be done this weekend.

Jayne glad you will be back in your sewing room soon.
MJP I had a prescription snorkeling mask till I had cataract surgery. They made a huge difference
Contractor was out today, we have a fairly large pergola in back yard but the fellow who built it used old wood and it’s not in the best of shape. It will be torn down and a new one made but it will have a real roof and be screened in. I’m lucky the No see um
bugs leave me alone but love to chomp on hubby and my poor sister. Will be fun watching their progress

These are wonderful, Pet, but it would really help me out if you could name them, so I don't mix them up. To see what's been posted, go to the Imgbb gallery linked in my sig line.
