Nancia--She is a cocker spaniel. Her name is Wrigley--yes we are Chicago Cub fans. She is 12 years old. She is my baby!!! But as you can see there will soon be another baby around. My first grandchild will be here in December. I bought that little floor toy at a garage sale. Wrigley had to try it out. She is a very protective dog. Not the best temperment with strangers. But she has cataracks and is losing her hearing. I always tell her "I love you too much." Don't know what I will do when she is gone. :( Thanks for asking about her. :D

Marcialee has a full grown block heading east on Wed 10/26/11. Hope she likes how I treated her fabric while it was in the south.

It is posted for peeking on page 2 of my other thread if you want to sneak a gander.

I signed up to do all the names and life has gotten in the way. DH injured his already very bad back and I injured my foot. I am way behind on sending back completed blocks but if ya'll bear with me I WILL get them all done and mailed back by the 1st of February. I promise. I have about 32 done and currently have 29 waiting for me. Have two more in the mailbox at the moment. I try and get a couple done a day along with everything else. teach me to sign up for all the names. Please, Please, bear with me and I'll get ALL of them done. thank you.

I have not done that particular pattern but I might know what you did wrong. Some PP patterns do not include the cut line on the outside of the piece. You need to add 1/4" all around. Could you have possibly cut on the sew line? This would make your block smaller and and the pattern not quite line up right. Check it out. That may be it. You don't want to give up PPing.

I'm still trying to make it work, I think I bit off more than I can chew...LOL on this block..

    But it was so pretty!

Absolutely! There is one block I am stuck on right now and have decided to set aside for a few days to rest. I even had a hard time figuring out which way to assemble it correctly. Once I finally did it was done within a short timeframe, but now one seam won't line up and not sure how to adjust it. And since we don't have more fabric to work with, I just can't give up and start fresh...

I chose to work on some simpler blocks for a few days and then try returning to the challenge tomorrow evening. We will see if I can figure it out.

    Good luck with your challenge!

Grown up block going home to Aully. I am only waiting on 1 F8 from Winter. That is deltadawn. All other F8s are done and either home or on their way home.

Here is an update for the completed blocks I have received. 1 from the yellow print and 2 more for the fall leaf print (which my mother saw and loved, so at least I know she likes it.)

nancia, you are not the last one to send out F8. I think I still have some that I do not have out.

You just might be right, but it did say 1/4" seam allowance in between the lines. So I cut on the darker line next time I guess I will cut 1/4" seam allowance after the darker line. But even if I did that I still don't think it would still make the 12.5 block...who knows...LOL I'm just guessing here...

I received a F8 from Aully so now I'm just missing F8's from two people and I'm sure they'll come soon--nancia and deltadawn. I also received lovely blocks back today from NanaKathy55 and Kriss 2011. I'll post pictures later in the week when I've more time.

    Received F8 from nancia today.

    Only missing 4 f8's
    deltadawn
garnet1265 (sending a replacement since it decided to tour)
    joanelizbay
    Lv2sew2011

Hope no one gets too impatient waiting on my blocks...I can do 2 - 3 a week and that's about it due to "life". Slow and steady like the turtle.

The replacement is on the way. Mailed it out yesterday and it better decide to follow the GPS right to you. Possum Trot or bust!

peggerss-- mine has been mailed! should get it by saturday, i would think!
thank you all of you who are not finished making the grown up blocks! i thought i was the only one who couldn't get them all turned around and back home in 3 days!LOL! you quick people had me feeling very guilty because i alone was going to slow you down.
kris2011--take your time with mine! you can put it at the bottom of the pile! i have way too many other things to do before i'll get that quilt finished! hope your dh is going to be ok, and you, too! i hope it's not your sewing pedal foot! 8-). put a skate on it and you'll be able to get to dh faster when he calls for you. is he a good patient? or more like the 'typical' sick man? take care of yourselves. family comes before quilting (oops, is that blasphemy?)

I probably won't be here for the next few days, as I am having leg surgery tomorrow. So to wrap things up, here are the f8s that I'm missing. And I think we should pat ourselves on the back. I've been in all the Booms except #1, and I have never seen a group get them out as fast as we have!

    babyfire04
    deltadawn
    nancia

I've received 1 block this week from joanelizbay. The use is the contrasting cream with the nice block make this block so nice for my quilt. Thank you!
