nooo jaba, I say he is demanding a cowboy quilt. why not play with him a tad and make a western quilt horses etc.. and say hey you said COWBOY it will not mess with your decor like decorating for a football team can and well who doesnt like cowboys? all toughened up, five o clock shadow, gams, um can ride horses (a prerequisit for all men) and well, you can look at em and then you can send em on their merry way.. they are tough they can handle it ok ok no cowboy western quilt shoot such a good idea.

if your the newbie to the group and watching jump on in at any time. WELCOME! (the band is playing.. I forget what they are playing someone help me here).. we are a fun nutty, reserved (ok not me) quiet and loud group all in one. You will fit in just nicely!

last shout out: did everyone get their blocks back from me? no? good cause that would scare the living heck out of me since I still have this box that seems never to get thinner in to dos..

well I have sent somethings out any receipients? sigh tapping fingers.. donta donta donta donta donkey pace again.. guess I should put stamps on them. Courier ants are not very fast.

Linda if I sent western cowboys I'd probably get a lasso back telling me to use in it a big tree. I know I can be difficult sometimes but I sure don't want to give someone a reason to be rid of me on purpose!! Those little gnomes would sure be cute in purples and teals???hint hint, dang, wish I had some Bronco's fabric around here, well maybe I'll have to go get some and sent that too. Okay I hear ya' yelling and a kickin'.....after the boom is over. I'll go downstairs and stuff it in something and send your way. Made a heart today and have to mail that. Post office box was empty and I just kept looking and looking nope the only think I found was the cell phone bill. ugh Linda your ham and beans sounded pretty good, haven't made that in a long time. Guess what's in the slow cooker?

    All ....

Not been around here much. Working on the baby quilt, babies have deadlines and this one is coming up fast. Faster so because husband is traveling there a week or so before baby is due ... which is in about 10 days. I finally did the math and came to the conclusion that I am NOT going to finish designing and sewing all of the remaining applique, sandwich, quilt and bind that sucker in 7 days. Sooooooo .... last night I started making another QUICK quilt for hubby to bring with him and I'll bring the applique quilt to her when I visit for Christmas.

so last night ... shop for and purchase 27 different green fat quarters, wash them, dry them, iron them, cut them.
tonight ... sew all 27 blocks, iron them, square them up.
tomorrow's plan is to construct the quilt blocks together.
    Thursday ... sandwich and baste.
    Friday ... quilt.
    Weekend ... bind (ugh!).

And all above is in addition to other "chores" (vacuum, dust, cook, eat, walk dog, scoop poop, full time job, and oh yeah - we (hubby and I) also own our own business so I had that office work to get done as well as help hubby load truck last night for a trade show he left for in Lancaster PA).

    I am knackered!!

I have received blocks from some folks ... can't remember who and am WAY too tired to go look let alone photograph!! They're pretty blocks though - ALL the blocks I've received so far are just wonderful.

April ... got your PM. Will get the additional F8 out as soon as I can. Probably early next week.

    Night ..... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

ok solved your too much clay issue, use nylon or a thin cotton fill it with .. cotton battin, draw it tight around the neck kinda like a balloon right? then make the felt tube like a fat lipstick? stitch the back or glue.. stitch on a bottom circle after stuffing, fill with half beans or rice and half stuffing so it stands.. tada.. you have those things silly one. A tea stained cotton, super cute do two tiny eye dogs and a tiny bit of blush (use a qtip test it on scrap so you know how hard) will be fun of course waldorf never does eyes do they? not sure if you made waldorf elves sigh.. mushroom very cute and less poisones than the red ones

    No minions.

I DID prioritize which is why all those other things got done but the blocks for the swap didn't. Yes ... you guys "rank" below a new grand-son's baby quilt. That's life

The other 2 Booms I did, I was in the big group. I didn't want the pressure of getting that many blocks done by Christmas so I signed up for a small group - not knowing how his health would be ... I didn't count on "in house" pressure though. Eghhh gads, if I had of signed up for a big group the sight of that many baggies sitting on the table would have driven poor Dad over the edge. He'd be having fits until they were finished up. He can't believe I would actually take the full amount of time to get the blocks done - work - work - work - snap that whip - crack. Ouchie Dad, I do have other things to do (like visit with the other Strippers & Hookers).

Yep waldorf gnomes and no faces. Maybe blush would be cute on them even without faces.. hmmm.. Yea that's essentially how I made the mushroom.

Ooo sounds like an awesome block I will have to peek. I sent the fabric out to tlambing and my 2 side swaps I hadn't sent fabric out to. Finish up and sent my secret pal stuff today so I can get back to finishing blocks.. like peacocks.. I had cut out pieces for savannah but it's too big (my own fabric, not hers) so I have to trim that down then I can get that block out as well.
Darned.. schoool... getting in the way and stuff.

I am missing a f8 from ctmhjenn also from the first mailing. I am sending one out tomorrow to tlambing and a side swapper.

I did get some bugs in the mail today!

Anastasia sent me a garden flower ... pretty darn neat and doghousemom sent me her "practice" block to use if I can.

Here's a picture of the block I sent to Charlottemarie since she said she received it.

Same here, no F8 from ctmhjenn. I also dont have savannahrandons and of course i havent received tlambing yet!

I have 7 blocks complete, just need threads trimming, which i hope to have done this weekend, they will then be posted early next week. I have another 4 cut and ready to sew, hopefully they will get done this weekend. Then I have another 2 which are getting appliqued, so may take me another week or so for those. 7 plus 4 plus 2, plus the 2 missing f8's thats 15 - excellent, everyone account for!

Feel free to pop your Dad in the envelope as well. i could do with someone to pick up my mail, and does he make tea while you're sweating it out on the sewing machine??
