All ....

Not been around here much. Working on the baby quilt, babies have deadlines and this one is coming up fast. Faster so because husband is traveling there a week or so before baby is due ... which is in about 10 days. I finally did the math and came to the conclusion that I am NOT going to finish designing and sewing all of the remaining applique, sandwich, quilt and bind that sucker in 7 days. Sooooooo .... last night I started making another QUICK quilt for hubby to bring with him and I'll bring the applique quilt to her when I visit for Christmas.

so last night ... shop for and purchase 27 different green fat quarters, wash them, dry them, iron them, cut them.
tonight ... sew all 27 blocks, iron them, square them up.
tomorrow's plan is to construct the quilt blocks together.
Thursday ... sandwich and baste.
Friday ... quilt.
Weekend ... bind (ugh!).

And all above is in addition to other "chores" (vacuum, dust, cook, eat, walk dog, scoop poop, full time job, and oh yeah - we (hubby and I) also own our own business so I had that office work to get done as well as help hubby load truck last night for a trade show he left for in Lancaster PA).

I am knackered!!

I have received blocks from some folks ... can't remember who and am WAY too tired to go look let alone photograph!! They're pretty blocks though - ALL the blocks I've received so far are just wonderful.

April ... got your PM. Will get the additional F8 out as soon as I can. Probably early next week.

Night ..... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

While I generally hate being busy like that, I do love the relative calm that ensues afterwards. Try not to kill yourself with all that k? Prioritize.. delegate.. and all that random stuff.. do you have minions you can get to help?

ok solved your too much clay issue, use nylon or a thin cotton fill it with .. cotton battin, draw it tight around the neck kinda like a balloon right? then make the felt tube like a fat lipstick? stitch the back or glue.. stitch on a bottom circle after stuffing, fill with half beans or rice and half stuffing so it stands.. tada.. you have those things silly one. A tea stained cotton, super cute do two tiny eye dogs and a tiny bit of blush (use a qtip test it on scrap so you know how hard) will be fun of course waldorf never does eyes do they? not sure if you made waldorf elves sigh.. mushroom very cute and less poisones than the red ones

No minions.

I DID prioritize which is why all those other things got done but the blocks for the swap didn't. Yes ... you guys "rank" below a new grand-son's baby quilt. That's life

The other 2 Booms I did, I was in the big group. I didn't want the pressure of getting that many blocks done by Christmas so I signed up for a small group - not knowing how his health would be ... I didn't count on "in house" pressure though. Eghhh gads, if I had of signed up for a big group the sight of that many baggies sitting on the table would have driven poor Dad over the edge. He'd be having fits until they were finished up. He can't believe I would actually take the full amount of time to get the blocks done - work - work - work - snap that whip - crack. Ouchie Dad, I do have other things to do (like visit with the other Strippers & Hookers).

Yep waldorf gnomes and no faces. Maybe blush would be cute on them even without faces.. hmmm.. Yea that's essentially how I made the mushroom.
