No worries Elisabrat, Qmomma will love whatever you send her. She's easy to please and she won't have to sew it. I'm sure it's beautimous! Think she likes to be on her long arm finishing more than sitting and sewing. Which reminds me, I still have to wait until next year before she comes here and teaches me how to do those feathers. I try and try, nope, mental block, stress, arm freezes, just can't make myself do those. Going to my sewing room today and see if I can get an inspiration for something to make for my secret santa partner. Also it's a whole 38 degrees here today and getting ready to snow!!! Would you believe it? not ready for winter, hate snow, too cold and yesterday was 90. My blood doesn't change that fast.

Well I fixed the block and it and BuddysMom's block are gonna go home today. So now I have 2 that are half finished that I need to finish, 4 I need to start, and still waiting on 1 fabric from a side swap.

Yay for new livers... Today I have to go play at Joann's to shop for my secret santa International so I'm going to try to make it real fun. And I totally plan to wrap every darned thing. Going to look for some fabrics that I need to make/finish a few quilted projects. And it appears my ex roommate took all my paints.. *scowl* so I have to get some paints too for some projects.

Jaba, I'm not overly fond of feathers like seems to be the rage right now, but they have their place. But I was watching Sharon Shambers video on marking quilts, and she showed some ways to help do feathers. She doesn't suggest drawing them but she showed how to do it if you draw them, but then says not to panic if you're not exactly on the line. Man I watched a whole bunch of her videos. She's amazingly informative. Learned more in 2 days watching her videos than I have in my 5 months of sewing hehehe. I'm sure you know all those things already but I didn't.

Keep your snow.. I'm enjoying my 60-80's here in MN the last week and a half At least wait til I get past my BDay.. (Happy Bday peoples that i missed bdays) Actually I think they mentioned a possible flurries but they said it was no cause for panic cause it would go away real fast. But I don't think it came. But I guess its going to be in the 50's the rest of the week so I better get out today since it's going to get to 77. Off I go. Have fun while I'm gone.

You all should totally peek at the latest block

Anastasia are you the kind of kid who when you were little you used to sneak a peak into the packages, you know just untape one side so you could know what you got? or perhaps maybe poke a hole into the bottom of your candies to SNEAK A PEAK into them before you got the wrong one? you and your sneaky peakys. oh cute block

cowboy boot scoot and boogy ready set go! this is tonights project.
finished Quiltermommas block and truly it was hard for me I was darned scared to make it. Like waiting to get a failing grade and dont ask me why I had that feeling but I was worried seriously and I well don't spend oodles of time worrying about stuff these days or most of my life the it will be what it will be attitude has worked but today I was having stomach cramps over the darned thing. FROM HERE ON OUT EVERYONE I GIVE NOTICE: I am going to Hakuna Matada all of you.. your blocks will be.. what they will be. I will try and they will work. Because I said so lmao.. sorry had to write that. off to sing and stitch.. lucky you you cant hear me. I sing quiet horribly.

Elisabrat, I was that way with Anastasia's block. I don't know why I was and I still think I took an easy way out but what can you do. If you want to take a look at it click on my signature line.

I had to threaten to poke her with a pokey stick...

So blocks mailed.. yay. And I WOULD have been one of those sneak a peeker kids but my family is a bunch of freaking tape addicts and if you could find a way to peek a corner it wouldn't have helped cause there was a lot of tape to have to move and attempt to look like you didn't peek. I certainly did shake though.

I suppose if I can get the cat to stop sleeping on my cutting board I could work on immemothers.. I've had the pattern and fabric for awhile.. just being lazy for some reason.. oh yea.. buddysmom's block.. hehehe.

tgramma no need to worry, just like I told the "brat" she's not picky!! I can hardly wait til she gets on here and reads this, she's going to be laughing all day...I'm going to look for those video's and see what she does, thanks anastasia. There's just been some places on a quilt that the feathers would have looked so nice, key word "would have" if I could have.....and I agree they can certainly be way overdone.
We got some snow yesterday but it all melted. 33 right now and my furnace is turned on now. Time to bring in the ole' logs and get the fireplace ready, oh lord, hate the thought of winter. Suppose the get about an 1 1/2" today and freeze again tonight, brrrr, 29 overnight last night. Need to shop for my SP today for a couple of things and some little extra's for the ornament swaps and then I might as well pick up ? for secret santa. Then I need to go to the post office and get 4 boxes and start filling them. Love it!! HO!HO!HO!

all so much fuuunn.. hehe.. I'm working on Immemother's block today. Got it all cut out last night, then I should finish my other 2 blocks that are 1/2-3/4 finished. I packed up all my stuff in my secret PAL box last night, except the 2 projects I'm making and the one thing I forgot to buy. Half finished with one of those projects, and got out the supplies for the other one.. Need to work on my ornaments.

So Jaba, also.. kinda funny, was looking at my mom's newest magazines, and BOTH had articles on doing feathers. hehe At least you're not alone. ok gonna go bang out this block and then do some math homework and then maybe finish a project.. I intend to be somewhat productive today... HA! right.

what is your FAVORITE HALLOWEEN CANDY? I think mine are those little orange and black taffys peanut butter tasting? I remember loving those the very most as a kid.Now I might hate them are they even around? probably in a specialty candy store that sells vintage candy. Oh brother I am vintage now. what about you guys?let fill our imaginary candy bowls now you first tell me what you loved as a kid?
