oh your sending lady bugs/ that will make her dad so very happy. He really enjoys getting those lady bugs. Tlambing I got your fabric and I know you got mine as you whipped up a block fast as lightening for me. I have been fortunate enough to receive 11 blocks from this group so thank you for being so quick everyone. I love them all. I am almost ready to lay them out just to take a group shot for everyone.. its nice to see them like that when you get enough back you can .. see it? I love this swap and will gladly join another one.

Halloween Candy..... I liked the Maltballs. No one else like them in my family so I got my brother's and sisters' also. I now try to buy things that are not Candy. The kidos will be getting pencils this year. One year they got school folders with a sheet of bicycle safety rules. You think most kids would be mad but I will never forget one little trickers reaction: "Wow, I always wanted my own school folder." He was about 4 and not in school yet. Mom said she never has bought him school supplies yet. I just thought that was precious.

Hubby is working again so more blocks will be made. so off to the sewing room I go..... Have a good weekend all.

What a great idea - folders! Especially when they are on clearance at Walmart now!! We don't give out candy either - usually get the snack bags of pretzels.

I help my mom pick out something different to hand out every year. Fruit roll-ups. Individual snack size microwave popcorn, juice boxes, those crackers with cheese or peanut butter packets.. pudding cups. We go to sams club. Last year she didn't get as many kids though. 5 years of living in the ghetto I've only ever had my door knocked on once so I don't bother.

I have been looking all over at the top of this post for an icon that looks like a tree inside of it for me to add my pictures, but I don't see one. I have read the info on the page on how to post a picture, to downsizing and such, but I do not see a place where I click to add a picture. Any help here?
