I have received 2 blocks that I have somehow got separated from the names of their makers. I am using the same fabric for Alcyone and Celaeno groups, so I posted both blocks into both groups. If you are the maker, please let me know.

hugs, Jupiter

My DD came down from WI for the weekend and went home with a newly sewn sample quilt . . . because I wouldn't give her mine from Boom 9. She liked the boom idea so much, she joined the board and asked people to side swap with her . . . and went home and got her MIL involved.

Needles to say, I am behind on my boom blocks because I couldn't get to my sewing machines (yes, machines. Her DD was sewing her own boom blocks).

If everything goes well (like the well not giving out and my having to buy water tubs and have water delivered (that's what I did yesterday) I'll be able to get caught up. I sent them both back to WI Sunday night and have 9 whole days of not having to share a machine or help anyone with blocks.

Hi girls! SO sorry I have been missing. I ended up going to my mother's to recuperate. DH had to go out of town and he didn't want DD and I at home alone with him being 750 miles away.

My mailbox is running over! I will have to organize all of the envelopes and will post tomorrow the ones I have received. I have not mailed out yet. They are ready to go. I will be going to the PO Thursday when I go back to work.

Phyliss if your in this group your block came back postage due of .40c so even though mail is metered if the other side does not like what your post office is letting something go for.. there can be a fee. So my advice for what its worth is if they say its on the fence of.. go with the next hire up. I don't mind the .40c but it can cause a lot of problems for carriers and recipients if it happens all the time. I am not hoping to irk my mail lady any day soon. This could be why when I have been sending blocks back they are all 1.09 to 1.19 each not the .67 c it cost to send a f8. thicker with seams heavier too and often with scraps back of the fabric.

beware...when I mailed my white envelope to Japan , it only cost $1.10. Today because the finished block was a little thicker I put it in a small manilla envelope and it cost me $6.44. yikes...

oh so was mine~ I don't mind Gaijiin is a super swapper but it depends on the person. and the amount of rows in your block. more rows more blocks equals more seams and more seams equals more cost. also if your mailperson is a jerk. mine is. the lady two windows over never is as expensive so all relative I guess. press flat! iron FLAT and wrap! and nothing with six rows!
