Thanks all for the welcome back! Sewbiz, so some good and bad news on the dogs. After a couple months at my "little house in town" the dogs went back to my old "country" house and live with my ex. We had three acres and they were used to running - not running on a leash. It was rough, but I know for the best. Flashforward, last January I got a new dog... she's a golden doodle with absolutely no doodle in her. Her name is Nysha (means new beginnings) and she is wonderful. I still miss the others but at least I have a new best friend.
Speaking of which... I also have a boyfriend. Dating at 52 is crazy but so far so good!
I've made one T shirt quilt and one baby quilt in the past 18 months, so I'm excited to dust off my sewing machine and get back to the fun. And mostly back to all of you.

Boom Biz
I use "Boom Biz" as the title when I want to draw your attention to a bit of info. This is the admin part that I don't care for too much but I've got to reiterate each Boom so please bear with me. Thanks!
Since we're showing our fabrics, I want to remind everyone to please prewash all of your fabrics prior to cutting them up into F8s and packaging them. Also, our definition of a F8 (Fat eighth) is 18x11 inches. When fabric is pre-washed it shrinks, so if you are trying to squeeze out four 11 inch F8s from a single 18 inch length of fabric, you may end up with 3 full sized pieces and a smaller one, too small to send. You may manage to get (4) 18 x 10.5 inch pieces, it's ok to go with that, but absolutely no smaller. Some of us cut 3 full size 18x11 inch f8s out of each 18 inch length piece and save the 4th smaller one for our own use. Multiple small cuts equaling or exceeding an f8 size are not acceptable.
And please remember to include your fabric color requests in your baggie if you have any. Posting here only will leave you disappointed as we will forget. The more concise your notes are, the easier to understand them. Some Boomers include paint chips or fabric samples of what they'd like however try not to limit your fellow quilters to a single shade of one color as it may be difficult if not impossible to fulfill. Please allow for a range of "light blues" or "dark browns" or "bright oranges".

the companion fabric I ordered came already (Fabric.com) and it works with the turtle fabric. It’s in the washer now. What to do for the two month group? I have some disparate Hawaiian fat quarters. I may send those.

Your original first post said fat eighth was 18x10. I referred to that when I cut my slices. they all really ended up being 18.25x10.25. if it truly is supposed to be 11, then I will have to find new fabric.... :-( I'm sorry. I was thinking that my cutting was going easier than last time, but I just thought it was becasue I was an experienced boomer! let me know if I need to switch things up.

LAF, no worries! You’re golden. I made a mistake in my post earlier. It should have said minimum is 18x10. I prefer the full 18x11 as I posted but I will take 18x10. My first mistake. I’m surprised it took a couple of weeks! I’m happy you spotted it. Boomers, if you spot an error, do not hesitate to bring it to my attention.

Oh good on the size...as a new boomer I went off the first post when cutting and just got done cutting my fabrics yesterday...none are smaller than 10"x18"...most are a bit more than that. Next time I will remember to cut at 11"x 18" (Is that good I am already planning for next time when we haven't even officially started?? lol)
I have them all bagged with a note included in each. I just need to print a label and can get in the mail yet this week.
