Welcome Boop56! 3 sets of 10 is fine. These blocks are addictive.. you can make more if you choose to.

As they are right now the answer is no. save them or practice on them. I measure every 3 piece section to make sure it's not too short or too long. it should measure 6 1/2 inches, making sure the center square fits and if the outside squares are longer they can be trimmed when you square them up.
May I put my $.02 in? I think Barbie was asking about the contrast factor of her two squares with primarily white backgrounds.... Barbie, because there is so much white, they melt into the white squares on either sides of them. There is supposed to be a clear contrast. So if you use a fabric with a white background, it needs to be mostly all covered with a print of a bolder color. So for this swap I would say those fabrics do not cut it.

I'm so happy to see this swap going forward without me! Yay! Honchey is a great leader and I knew she would do a great job with this swap. Thank you, Honchey! I got kind of burned out, plus have two baby grand girls coming next month and in April. I've got lots of little dresses and bubble suits to sew!

Have fun... can't wait to see some quilts.

Thank you sewbizgirl. The color of the squares was exactly what I was asking about. I will keep those blocks for myself and make new ones. My count is 55 blocks done. Hope to have the rest done his weekend.

My goodness Cheese head you are way ahead of most of us??? It's going to be a long wait for you before the baggies will be switched and sent out.

I wanted to complete the blocks ASAP as I'm in both of the Boom swaps. Those swaps will get my full attention until I have completed the blocks I am making for them.

Dark dreary day here, if the sun comes out tomorrow I will post pictures of my 9 patches.

Arrrrgh! I misunderstood... I'm a fusspot when it comes to intersections and points.. That's what I thought you were referring to... I sometimes have to close my eyes or look away from a block that isn't quite up to par as I add it to a pile of redo's.

I now have 16 blocks done.. just waiting to be trimmed. I'm packing inbetween for my 6-8 week getaway.. Time right now is not on my side

I have done half of my ten bags. It's amazing how relaxing it is to steal a few minutes during the day to go sit and sew. All of my fabrics are cut and waiting in neat little piles, though I have to confess that I cut the white squares as I need them -- batches, of course. Sorry, but I do not know how to do pictures on Quiltingboard.com. I have to get my daughter to help me put pictures on Facebook!

Chesseead, your blocks look wonderful. I like the ones with purple in them. I LOVE, LOVE purple. 3/4's of the inside of my house is purple.

Looking at Cheesehead's 9 patches I'm not liking how mine turned out so far. So I am going to start all over. The ones I have done I will use them in by quilt.
