I am so glad that you liked it. I found the fabric while at my retreat in Panama city. It was a joy having you as my partner!

Beautiful quilts! Such creativity, too! Plus any fabrics that have metallic accents or have metallic thread quilting are right up my alley!! And I am the gal that thought I didn't like too much bling...that's what I get for thinking! HA!
KwiltKrazy and I are mailing ours to each other soon. I had hers finished, took it into town when I was running, er..driving errands. Even stopped by post office. But changed my mind and decided I wanted to put in a couple of Christmas ornys for her. So back home, ornys finished, pkg carefully untaped, ornys added, pkg carefully retaped, ready to mail tomorrow. Last I heard Kwilt was finishing some paper piecing on my dq. I am sitting out dq #51, but will be lurking, have to ooh and aah over all the great quilts I know will be posted...

My oldest daughter (turned 32 yesterday) is single, but can't have

She has thought about adopting an older child but would prefer to
adopt siblings (she grew as an only child and always wanted siblings).

My middle daughter (age 23) lives in Virginia Beach with her her husband
who is in the Navy. Don't know if/when they might have kids.

The youngest daughter is a Junior in College and is double majoring
in Chemistry and Biology. She doesn't have a boyfriend, and doesn't
plan to get one, or get married and have kids until she is finished with
ALL of her schooling. This makes us VERY happy to know she is thinking
about her career and future first. She will be 21 in December.

At the rate things are looking though IF I ever do have grand kids it
might be with the youngest girl. Unless my daughter gets more sure
and serious about adoption.
I have to tell you that before ds married (only child), I had gotten to where I would tell him I was going to be my own grandma since it appeared I would never be anyone else's! Lol.. Son would tell me, "Heck Mom, at the rate I'm going I'm going to start having to ask potential dates if they have grandkids instead of kids!". LOL..
He graduated college, bought his house, and is established in his job. 1 year ago this past July he married a great girl (I say girl, she was 27, our son 28..lol). In addition to gaining a dil, hubby and I also gained a darling granddaughter. Dil was widowed at the age of 24, dgd was only a few months old when her daddy passed. It has been sad, bittersweet...but with sadness we also gained happiness. Our son is in process of adopting our dgd. She was 4 in June. And now her lil brother is due next month. So you never know when you will be gaining a grandchild!! And I must say it IS as great as it's cracked up to be!

I received this gorgeous quilt from BertieD today, along with some extra fabric and notebook and candy! I love the shimmery effect of the flames and star, and she hand embroidered around them to make them really pop! Thanks, Bertie, I LOVE it!

Bilbain and I must have been on same wave length. I received my quilt from her yesterday, too. So here is a copy of a most wonderful mini quilt from October 2013 Candle swap with her. I love her style! All that glitz--eat your heart out, Kiffie! It's mine, all mine! I love it! LOL!

Bertie D and Bilben, what great quilts! Took the candle idea and ran with it! Love the applique and bling...I don't do applique (longstanding joke between me and a co-leader of a charitable quilt group who is an applique pro...but I do pretty good piecing!).

I too love the bling factor in fabrics.. never in the clothes I wear (ok in a couple shirts there are rhinestones and sequins) but I love it in fabrics. that metallic thread? gorgeous! metallic fabric? gorgeous.. just enough to make it shine and this month is outstanding for that. Perfect outlet for us to get it out of our system. oh heck its never out of my system and I admit also I never wear any jewelry doesn't mean I don't ogle a pretty necklace, or ring or bracelet. out here not so much of that, more subtle but back in the bay area well some women went with the MORE is good.. a bit of the Hollywood factor lol..

the candles are wonderful every single one of them, similar and different all at once. I could not pick a favorite this month at all.

Oh I could pick a favorite! IF everyone wants to send all of their doll quilts to me so I can keep, er "inspect" them up close...and for a loooong time I could pick one, I am sure of it...it would just take me a while, though, a loooong while
