Oh I will 'fall' for you darlin'! Morning groopies! lol I hope you had a lovely evening and are now planning the demise of that fabric molting in your sewing bins/shelves/rooms.. come to me it says pick me pick me! what a stunning runner that would be! Rusts! Burgandy!Golds! Olive Greens! Purples and Oranges and oh so many more to pick from. Last year Alaskaalice made me a beautiful dq/runner that is out of all these batiks made into bear paws. I will take a picture to share with you its a grand launching point for ideas here. I am sure if you have been to pinterest you will discover the many different patterns you can use .. just type in quilted table runners.. hundreds of ideas. I have this fairly orange fabric with leaves all over and gold metallic which I think might make a great foil for some of my other fall fabrics .. keep it from being dull.. then again I have four different pumpkin fabrics. what to use what to use.. so far it appears most of you want fall. There are a few who would take either fall or Halloween but no one who specifically wants Halloween so I am thinking if the trend continues and you would like to start on a fall runner your pretty safe. no one has said NO FALL.. most are asking for a brighter colorway than a dull one if that helps you at all in your selection ventures.. TADA we are up to 24 sign ups as I type. If everyone chats a little this will be a lively fun room to come and play in.

I was thinking last night that I need to take a sample of the harlequin diamond fabric with the brown curly design on it that I used for the last runner & see if I can find some burnt orange fabric to go with it for this runner. Maybe I could match the purple too.

I saw the most awesome runner on pinterest last night. I'm still pouting that I can't find a tutorial or kit online for it anywhere, even using the source image finder javascript. Here's the photo though:

I'd never figure out how to make the starbursts on the end on my own. I'm guessing that the runner is made from individual squares that are hand quilted together, since it doesn't show any signs of them being joined from the front.

Oh my goodness, that runner is remarkable, I hope we don't have to come up with something that elaborate or I will get booted out! It is fabulous. The starbursts look like some paper pieced patterns I've seen. I guess I better get busy looking for patterns for my runner!

Oh, good morning all. Beautiful day here in mid-Michigan. A little cool this morning but sunny with a few puffy clouds in the light blue sky. Days are getting shorter already, the dogs are letting me sleep until about 5:45 because it is dark until then. Grass is really wet with morning dew so I guess I will neglect another flower bed for a long while, may as well sew! Hope everyone has a beautiful blessed day!

Tam Moo, love your picture. Cows are so beautiful. We went to the county fair a couple of days ago and I so enjoyed watching the 4H kids show their cows. We saw the two last classes and then the winners of all 5 classes go for the grand champion. A beautiful red and white heffer won although all were beautiful.

oh wow is that runner gorgeous! Too elaborate for me though. I'm also in the same boat of no kids to trick or treat, so I guess fall is better. Have done some shopping & fabric is on it's way to me for this project. We'll see what I do with it when it arrives. Too hot to be in my studio in the afternoons, it's been 100+ the last week, with no end in sight! Welcome to Texas in the summer! It won't cool down til Labor day!

No booting for the complexity of your piecing here! I was just pining away publicly for the directions to make something so fabulous! I'm not experienced in paper piecing. In fact, the last time I did a block that was supposed to be paper pieced, I didn't paper piece it at all. I just made it work out piecing it the regular way instead, since it wasn't that complicated.

I have the Fons & Porter book "Tabletop Quilts" & I'm thinking I may either do one out of it or perhaps if I can find the burnt orange and purple to go with the fabric I mentioned earlier, since I have the brown already & can get more from Hobby Lobby, I'll do either of these 2:

Oh, I learned this last week that there are embroidery patterns for my new machine to go with my accuquilt go dies too. It puts down template lines of where to place your pieces cut with the accuquilt, then you lay them on & either use spray adhesive or pins to hold them in place, then tell it to go & it stitches them on for you! The man asked me if the new machine was "going to work with the thousand dollars we just spent a few months ago" and I told him "Oh yeah! In fact, it's going to make me use it even more!" and he seemed happy. Now to decide which embroidery packs they have that I have the most dies to go with. I'd rather not have to buy a bunch more dies right now, since I don't have wall racks to store them in. Thankfully the big starter set I got had a bag with it, so I can stand them all in it on their ends where it won't mess up the foam or the blades.

Hello, fellow "Fall Runner Friends"! I have always loved the colors of fall and always said I decorate in "earth tones". Maybe that is an ancient way of describing my home decor, anyway, I still love it and find myself "falling" for it! I went to my LQS yesterday and picked up 3 gorgeous fabrics to run my hands over. I will post them here. Check out those punkins! Can't wait to begin this swap and I have many fabrics to choose from. jillnjo

Me, too! Want to join the fun. Looked through my fabric last night (while searching for something else) and I have some really pretty fall fabrics to use.
