I have two blocks in mind - will work them up on scraps to see how they come together. Will get back with you on which block!

OK, deep breath..........put me down for Mr. Roosevelt's Neck Tie. I did a bunch of practice blocks today and I think it is the one I'm most likely to get right.

Colletta - I just realized that the Puss in the Corner block I had picked out is actually for a 13 1/2" block. Soooooo, may I PLEAZZZZZZE change the choice for my first set to "Arkansas Cross Roads" instead? Sorry
    Thanks!

    Hi Colletta,

I am fairly new to quilting, and I have a question (which will probably sound funny to advanced quilters). I have been looking for a pattern for the fall swap and they all seem to be finished at 12" or 14" blocks. Is there a trick to making a 12 1/2 block or do I just need to keep looking? Thank you for your help.

    Sharon B. :?:

When you make the 12" , it is 12 1/2" unfinished. so one of those will work .

Yep! A 12" block actually measures 12.5 with the raw edges. So pick a 12" block and let us know which one you're planning on.
