I sent them out today! Boy did I have a time of it! I thought I had my scraps for the baggie and the cardboard identifier... spent way too much time trying to find them, finally dug through my scrap bin that has the trash (bits too small for even me to save) I found all except one! So I packaged it all up, forgot the card, opened up a bit put in the card and a quick note, sealed it back up again, realized I had the money sitting on the table with a little treat for you, so opened it up again! (Money is tucked inside the treat) so if you get a envelope that is super taped up, well it is from that crazy girl that lives somewhere on the West Coast~

Then tonight while I was looking for something else I found the scraps I was saving for the card and identification card!!!!

Honestly I don't know how I manage some days!

I didn't send the Apple Pie and i didn't send the pumpkins. But i can't wait to get the fabric back and put this one together. I know two little boys who are growing up on a Dairy and they are going to love this one!

YEA!!! Gonna be fun!!! Ladies, just a reminder that these are not due until the end of May. Y'all have plenty of time to get them to me. Honestly, I set them in a bucket out of the way so nothing gets lost, moved etc. Take your time and enjoy!!! I'm loving these swaps this year. A lot less stress on me!!!

I have a question for all of you that participate in these swaps of Yosamitesa and/or the 10 1/2 inch block swaps. How do you organize all of these? I have a ton of them now and not quite sure what is the best way to keep them organized. I know I will get many wonderful ideas from you.

I keep my themed stuff in ziplock bags all together, so I can see it, I then store them standing up in a crate or box that they fit in.

I get the 12 x 12 "scrapbooking" paper boxes from Michaels. I put them in there. I try to keep themes together like for the 10-1/2" I had my purple swap together, my brown swap together, etc. When I went through my purples to cut for a brick style quilt, I took out the batiks to put with my batik pile (always pull them out) then I pulled out the Halloween cats and put with my holiday sets. As for the 6-1/2" sets, I can fit 2 sets in 1 container. I do them by swap theme. Like I have I-Spy, mom's, dads, etc. I just went through a bunch of them and pulled out a gallon bag full to send to a friend of mine that makes quilts for babies in need. She was SO excited!!! As I go through the I-spys if I recognize one that I've gotten before, I try to find it to pair them up. I keep all of my duplicates together that I can. Until I can get them organized, I put them in a big tote stacked up. Now, the farm one...those I'll be putting in a quilt right away this time!!!

I have several of those square storage bins with lids that Joanns usually has at the holidays, I usually wait for them to go on 50% off. They are great for all sizes of squares and they stack well. Also easy to take them with you if you are going to do a scrappy project.

Mine went out in the mail last week you should be getting them soon.

I have a bin for every size block and the ones that are the fullest are the little ones. The big ones get use up. No matter how hard I try to stay on top of scraps I have many many bins of just scraps. At one time I was all caught up! well I thought I was... Could have had a bin full of scraps on the bottom and pieces of fabric on top, what a surprise when I went digging in that bin!

I am going to try to catalog all my fabric, going to sell a lot of it and donate a lot. Making room for more !!!! My Daughter and Grand Daughter went home yesterday and now I can get back to sewing again! I have a prom Dress almost finished and several quilts in various stages! Ugh I need a Secretary, any volunteers? Secretaries day is just around the corner!!!!!
