Adorable peackock! I think the first back ground is cute but too colorful and busy. What I some times do is sew a grass to a sky fabric and then add he applique. The top are some partial finnished blocks for another swap and the bottom is a completed block for another swap.

Thank you. Some similar owls were send in with this swap too. Maybe you'll get one. Ugh I know what you mean about picking fabric. Some times I wash a whole yard and then end up not using it or make 6 blocks and get some so so reactions from my family.
