ha ha Nancia. who needs charlie?

I hope you have a accucutter or some sort of device to cut all those squares sikesjj sheesh you made me tired just thinking of it. I cut 50 for the first runner I made for the tropical swap and let me tell you I was sick of it by the end. and you are cutting 10 times that many? I sure hope you get back fabrics you love.

Nope it's just me, my rulers, and rotary cutter. I have to get a new machine before I can get something cool like a accucutter. I am looking into them but I really, really want a new machine. Ready for a partner because it takes me awhile to brainstorm and get motivated over the project.

What do y'all do with your loose strings on your machine quilting projects? Last time I stitched them in and then trimmed, it was VERY time consuming.

You know, if I'm doing it on my long arm or on my regular machine, I leave a long tail and stick a safety pin in the area so I don't forget. Then I go back, tie a regular knot (like tying your shoes) up against the quilt; then I put those threads into a sewing needle and bury them into the quilt 3-6" and then trim the left over. It reduces the thread knot you get from backstitching in place on a normal machine. I don't know if that would work for anyone else, but it works for me

DustysMom, if you need an angel for the last swap, I can help out. I've got time and a plastic card that pays for fabric.

11 is 2 more than 9 last I checked so your getting there. maybe huge isnt so grand smaller is ok for us too you know just need an even number of players thats all. Its just getting people who can commit to turning something in and then actually doing that. Please dont sign up if your not going to complete your project one ends up with sad partners when this happens. Do you need any angel gifts for people who were ignored last time dustysmomma? any deadbeat non senders? you did state you would post the people who did not mail their items to their partners. I think this will discourage people from doing this in the future. just my two bits on that. in the mean time call in your angels girl ring ring angels anyone home??
I suffer from CRS (can't remember s**t) in a bad kind of way. My calendar is my best friend. Thank God for technology to remind me what I'm supposed to do and when. About the only thing I can always remember is to go pee, which my boyfriend says I'm really good at since I do it so often, lol. Yep, he and Dusty laugh at me or make comments every time I say I gotta go. Just wait, something like this will catch up with them someday too.

As far as I know, the only person who hasn't received yet is Jaba. I was told 3 days ago that her partner had shipped. How ironic that she was the first person to ship and will be the last to receive. I would say let's give it a couple more days. She didn't send me tracking info, so I've asked for it.

PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE! WHEN YOU SEND IN THAT YOU SHIPPED, GIVE ME THE TRACKING #!!! I can't stress how important this is. Literally only 1/2 of the participants in the first swap ever sent me their tracking numbers. So, here is what we're going to do, and I know this sounds petty, but this time and forever after, until I have a tracking number, I will not mark you as having shipped. I will remind everyone of this when I send out who your partner is. Having a tracking number helps your partner plan in case they have reason they don't want your package just dumped on their doorstep (animals, thefts in the neighborhood, surprise for someone), and it proves that you actually sent it trackable according to the swap rules. OK, I'm putting away my soapbox now.

Default Yahoo!!!!

I'm happy happy today, I wasn't forgotten after all. atpeg'squiltstudio was just sewing away for me. I had asked for a runner or a cover for my kitchenaid mixer, since it's black, it really shows every little thing on it. Well she made me a mixer cover, a blender cover and a toaster cover that all match. Thank you Margaret I'm so glad you sent them. Hope you don't mind if I do a little revamp of the toaster cover, needs to be a bit bigger, mine is a 4 slicer so hope I can add a little so it will work.
