my son snookered me into buying crawfish one time. they ate them all before i had a chance. once my husband told me to stop buying apples, the kids just eat them. never did figure that one out! lol anyway, i bought the crawfish because #1 son said we never had anything unusual to eat. these kids were brought up on red beans and dirty rice, xri pulu, stuffed grape leaves ( my kids are practically pros at rolling them. if you help roll you get to taste test) and of course, all the tx's food, tex-mex, chinese, italian. yup, just your ordinary pb&j existence! lolol, but because we ate these things fairly often they were ordinary to our kids. my sister has travelled the world and for many years sent me recipes, and of course, we ate these things at her house, too. calamari, everything greek, i still can't believe he said that! lol now, dh and i eat from the phonebook. i saw a wonderful plaque that said: dinner options
1. take it
2. leave it
as a dear friend once said, i have a kitchen because it came with the house. i cook maybe once a week. have so many more interesting things to do~ practically anything!
d'sm-- i'm getting anxious, too! you know this will require a shopping trip! and i have money burning a hole in my pocket (ok, so it's a dieing ember, it's still a dollar!) and i will want to come up with something new and different! i would love for my partner to want a purse or tote! just got a cute pattern! just saying..... perhaps the purse might have a little gold embellishment to go with a rocking pair of gold shoes!! just saying........
brat-- i've got to get out of the table topper/runner cycle. i don't have a table except my cutting table, and that's, well, occupied with a variety of rulers, rotaries and remnants. i love the ones i've received and i'm using them as wall art. very festive and good memories! i will still check in to badger you!8-)

thats cool Nancia, leave me to mold in the dust of your big money embers... thats fine wont bug me at all. wait til I do a mid summer ornament swap and well I forget to invite .. ah heck I couldnt do that MOM would have a big chat with me and since the momma I know left three years ago to hang out in Heaven that would not be a chat I am quiet ready to have so fine. dont join see if it upsets me at all. nope not me. not feeling hurt .. not feeling like you should clean that table an make a runner so you can have one to send to me for well because we are related by postal men .. nope not saying you could step outside your box.. nope not me. hanging head feelings majorly crushed.. telling on you big time.

Dustysmomma: let the fish drink. You can watch someone has to be the designated driver. I am designating you. Seriously and not joking. You can't all party til the sun comes up. Someone has to be the grown up.

Ok onto the gold shoes walking a mile uphill: forget it. You can't fool me. barefoot woulda been much happier on those feet and when you took them off.. don't try to kid me. you went.. ahhhhh. lol. I think at 30 I would have kept up with you by 40 I was already into seriously comfortable designer shoes. I had some Almafi (or was it Alfani?) shoes from Nordstroms I adored. 200.00 each bought them in four colors. FLATS. then a pair of black heals another Italian pair same expensive pricing wore those to all and every event that I HAD to wear heals to. comfortable. but still .. rather not wear heals. so bought a more expensive pair of bronze shoes .. flats. ballet thingys. best shoes I ever wore fancy. no way in heck. now I can only wear ballet types due to weight factor but I think wouldnt wear heals if I could. Your still a big kid at heart girl. You dress up with a gleeful smile, you wear goofy goofy HEALS and say they are great, you paint your nails to your hearts desire at the moment and you party like your 20 again. wowsa. I get worn out already on reading your ventures. You obviously are doing what you love to do. Out and about with people, parts, clothes, and you enjoy it all. Good for you. Now be the designated driver. honest just because the rest of the sheep run off that cliff is no reason you have to too. be better than them.

hey Nancia I say do what works. if this round you want a break I say go for it. see I am not so mean afterall.

brat~i know you're not mean at all! but you can trust me, i'll be discreet and won't tell anyone. shhh. a secret! suddenly i have a ton of things to get done all at once! wha' happened? it's 3:30 a.m. and here i am, wide awake! i'm going to sue's in the morning, well, later this morning. guess i'll just stay up! no, it's a long drive, so maybe i'll power nap. as if, i'm afraid i'll fall asleep and not wake up til 3. i do love sleeping during the day. dog wants to go out. she has been escaping from the backyard, or hiding behind the shed and barking. even treats won't bring her in. our neighbor is getting dicey about it, and i don't blame him in the least. so i've been keeping her in the bedroom under lock and key. she says she wants out, but i don't want to get dressed and take her for a walk. she'll just have to wait. poor dear! i think i've torn the ligaments or tendons or something in my left bicep. even my 2 finger typing hurts. i'd better try to sleep, i'm sounding cranky! talk to you later! nitey!!

Nancia, I have an idea. You could join the runner swap and send it to me & I can send it to my boyfriend's mom in Denmark! This 3am thing is getting to be a habit for you girl. I hope your arm feels better fast & there's no tear! That would seriously impede your sewing!!!!

Brat, since I broke my foot/ankle in 2005, I hardly ever wear heels. That gold pair I fell in love with though. They're low & comfy, thankfully, but my feet were very happy when I took them off right outside the building when we left. They preferred walking barefoot on the concrete (which my physical therapist would kick me for), but weren't happy at all when I put them back on to cross the asphalt parking lot. I got home and put on my slippers & heard "AHHHHHH!" come from them, lol. Last night is the most I've walked in any pair of heels since 2005. I used to wear them all the time, so it breaks my heart not to be able to wear the couple pair I have that I love.

Luckily, I didn't get the shopping gene, especially for shoes. My mother did though. She just didn't get the income to support it though. I have to say, that woman could make a Payless Shoe sale cry when I was a kid. But for me, it's fabric. It used to be Precious Moments figurines, but I have nowhere to put them in this house, so they're all in storage. After Precious Moments, it was gemstones. A few years before my divorce, the plan was for me to go to school to be a graduate gemologist. The school was 1 year of weekends in Atlanta, only 2 hours away. Well, then he found out that there's really no job prospects for a GG outside of big cities unless you own your own store & that suddenly & painfully was no longer something he would support me in. When we divorced, we split the stones. He pawned all of his & I still have all of mine.

OK, everybody ready?

I've paired people and given them "team colors", just to make it fun! I'll be emailing your partner's info, but for those who just can't wait that long, here are the teams, thanks mostly to random.org (allergies ya know!):

Red: The Mama Hauser & Cheesehead
Orange: queenof2802 & Elisabrat
Yellow: lovngrandma & DustysMomma
Green: sikesjj & nancia
Blue: jaba & alberta quilter
Purple: dconroy84 & tracibug
Gray: mrsmck & dabbler312

If there are any conflicts, please email me & let me know! I figured the randomizer was the easiest way to do it this time since there have been so many hints posted, lol.

So I took the time to write down all my swaps with the partner info, likes, dislikes, and requests; I now believe I need to go to Swappers Rehab. I am in six swaps all due within the next two months.
