That's not really that bad as long as the projects aren't huge. It's all about strategic planning and prioritizing.

OMG, I sound like an accountant. Wait, I am. Crud....I try to keep that side of me out of here!

Default not so bad at all

Ok my computer is on hijack mode right now it is not allowing me to post in any threads! oh crud! all the quick reply boxes are blue!!!

I am in good contact with my partner she was over joyed to be partnered with me.. ok she said Hi! so this must be the same as over joyed I believe. Right now she might be wondering what she got herself into but I have her colors which are wonderous I own them all!!! and I think I can safely say I am at least moderatly good at what she wants so I will whip up one of my famous suprises but promise to post my fabrics in fair game. I am very ready to jump right in so this weekend I will hop on the home decor sewing boat. Thanks to Dustysmomma I am not making a purse. oh Lord no. I am not a purse maker. phew... that is clue one partner you wont be getting: a purse a microwave cover a... toilet roll holder.. or an apron (now that I wanted to make).. so since you picked the livingroom you wont get a lingere bag or a nylon washing thing (does anyone anywhere where nylons? I lived in them when I worked or dressed up but the kids.. no nylons.. sigh my legs were glow in the dark white and not that exciting black nylons all the way)..

so yahoo let the party begin! thanks for the early partners!!

My husband is like you always make stuff for other people you never keep any of it. I tell him I don't know hat to make for myself. I do make stuff for the kids but not for me. I am trying to make a dress or two and some shorts for my trip to Atlanta next month.

I seem to do that too. I'm not a big clothing sewer though, because it seems the only thing I can make these days without screwing it up is a pillowcase dress & bloomers. I'll make wallets and handbags & give them all away too. I have tons of sewing for kids things pinned on pinterest, but many of them I'll probably never try.

ohhh you sew clothes?? I sew things like little bunnies running for my shelf, primatives.. or I sew pigs in a bucket for St. Pats or I sew.... dorky things that make me smile. I have sewn a few aprons and honestly I use mine a lot. One with Cherries one with Fall leaves. I am a mess maker when I use flour and such. my clothes are killed. I think I would start with something fairly simple say.. a vest. No sleeves. Made one thing with sleeves in 8th grade for my lil sis. I am frightened of working with anything but cotton. cotton does not move. it stays mostly where I put it!

I hope all is well I am going to spend today cleaning up projects first then if there is time starting on this one or that is a tomorrow job. lots of jobs ahead of me. this is good

Been finishing up projects at this house too. Mug rugs done, pin cushions and needles cases done, packed in their boxes and ready to be mailed from somewhere along the road, wall hanging still need to finish the binding, FQ swap will have to mail on the road too, can't start summer fun yet, don't have a partner until brat lets me know who so I know the colors. Home decor haven't started yet....dabbler where are you? need to know what you want this time...answer my PM please. Batik blocks for tracibug's swap are all cut out and ready to sew, will do that while I'm traveling. Better check my board in the sewing room and see if I forgot anything

I'd planned to sew today, but I didn't get home from the birthday party at my friend's house until 7:30. They rarely get any adult interaction, and she and I rarely get to see each other, so when we get together, it's like trying to pry an octopus off the side of a boat to get us apart, lol. (If anyone's ever done that, they know what I mean!) Going to catch up on my reading here, then go clean up my sewing room. It looks like a cyclone struck. Between stuff not put away from my last project and looking like a fabric factory blew up from me washing what I bought yesterday, it's a wreck. If it's not too late then, I may get some sewing in before bedtime.

Right now I have a home decor project to do, waiting for Elisabrat's runner swap to close, working on a runner for a side swap with Lovngrandma that I just got the rest of the fabric for yesterday, need to work out my squares & how many sets I'm going to do for Tracibug's batik block swap, still haven't made that wallet yet because I just got rest of the info from her today, and I still have to make that tissue box holder I keep putting off.

Sounds like you have a busy day ahead of you Dustysmomma. I am yet to hit the sewing table in a few just wanted to pop into all my swaps and bug you guys. I have picked my partners fabric. Trouble is I picked two different sets so if your reading this let me know what you think.. one set is in the colors you want completely (except what is spice yellow?) I picked mustardish? ok next: the other set has a floral with your colors but it also has a bit of teal in it too. odd but it works. the coordinating fabrics have a bit of teal also but then the moss is in there ..there are four fabrics in that set. so which are you more cozy with? just your colors or a bit of pop in them? I love both sets so have at it which do I use???

I'd say it's a mustard color too.

The last few days have been real busy. Quiet night at home tonight, then dinner with visitors tomorrow night & lunch with them on Friday.

So hey, who hasn't noticed the poll on this post? So far it seems like the majority wants a pick a holiday swap next. I wonder if we'll get some really obscure holidays. That would be fun. I didn't think about it until I'd posted the poll, but I think a birthday swap would be fun too! Who doesn't need a birthday runner/placemats/apron/etc?
