the shopping was the most exertion! i had to find john deere stuff, and capt america, his favorites. i made the quilt during our sleep-over at grann of 6's house. it's amazing what you can get done while talking , eating and drinking (just a very little bit of wine), and staying up til midnight. then up at the butt crack of dawn for b'fast and shopping, followed by an afternoon of sewing, talking, and laughing! these sleep-over home retreats may be the wave of the future! so much fun! and sue has a fantastic studio set up and is a charming hostess! we each brought a little something to the table, literally. judy joined us in the afternoon as her grandson finally passed the rock he'd swallowed a week before. that's a diet high in ruffage and minerals! lol. glad it worked out ok for him! we were all relieved. ( no pun intended, butt there it is! lol and another! the hits just keep on rockin')
d'sm, i'm glad you like the runner. as usual it is my own design and it gave me a few tense moments, and then behaved. and as usual, i forgot to take pictures of either the quilt and farm vehicles or the runner. hope you guys can do it for me. if not, no biggie. you all will have to use your imaginations! 8-) beau's quilt is backed with bright green dense fleece so it can bear the brunt of tractors and kids pounding on it, and it's soft and fuzzy for curling up in. there are 12 blocks, 8" squares, sashed with black kona cotton, and each intersection has a 2" square of road signs. the outer border is 2 rows of pick up trucks heading down an endless highway in both directions. there, you've got it-- as i mentioned before, i think, each square has something that represents a place, like there's a dog park and/or a dog store and a school with children and letters. there are 12 blocks. it's bound in black. d'sm has, as promised, a tropical feel runner, all bright batik, backed in orange, and an orange batik binding. there, that's your mind exercise for the day!. lol.

Yep yep! It's beautimous! It's very happy on my foyer table too! I've been trying to give it some time to flatten out, but I think it's about as good as it's going to get for now, even after ironing, lol.

Nancia that table runner is beautiful. Here are the pictures, as promised but late. My internet wouldn't work last night and I can't upload pics from my phones. Beau won't turn loose of the quilt for me to get a good picture he is scared the girls are going to take it, maybe I can sneak it away at nap time?!?!? Sorry that they are crooked!!!

I think it's because of being shipped in so much humidity. I'm going to have to wash it and dry it flat to get it to lay out right. I just haven't had a chance to do that yet & didn't want to make you wait any longer! Hey, did you notice my favorite vase in that picture? The middle one. That's the vase my boyfriend brought me from Poland. I LOVE IT!

d'sm== all three vases are gorgeous, but i can tell the middle one is special! having a man with good taste is a plus!

jamie--i think the internet problems are contagious! my e-mail won't let me reply or send a new e-mail. tell the kids they may want to wait until after they meet me, but i'm all for it! they are such cuties i have a feeling they are just as sweet! tell them thanks for the vote!

The other 2 are cheap to be honest. I just don't really have anywhere I can "hide" them without actually putting them away, and the person they came from comes to our house semi-regularly. The one from Poland, he never would tell me how much he paid for it, but he said it was expensive and he was worried enough that he opened the suitcase as soon as he got to the car at the airport in Atlanta on the way home. And well, if I was "that kind" of person, I'd say "of course he has good taste...he has me!"

I think I may know why you're having email troubles nancia. I got spam from your email this morning.

Nope, with the provider you use, just like the provider I use, they're popular for hackers because they have so many users. No hassle at all for me, just for you! It happens to us all. I just got hacked on my other yahoo account last week actually. Because I'm in my own address book, I knew about it within a few minutes, but I'd already gotten 2 text messages by then, lol.

Still 2 people MIA on this swap. I'm not going to request to post a new one until I know where everyone is though, so be patient!
