Is there a way to do away with the selvage requirement?

I give my selvages to a lady in our quilt group to make purses and pin cushions with them. I don't have hardly any fabric with the selvages.

Thanks

One of the past requirements has been 'A selvage piece with manufacture name of your fabric is required stapled on the outside of the individual baggie for identification purposes'. I was looking at some of my fabric and there isn't anything written on the selvage. Does that mean I can't use that piece of fabric?

I often buy fat quarters. As you know, 50% of the time they are from the side without the information printed on the selvedge... :-( When I get home, I always cut selvedges off... :-( I've joined here after you stopping doing your swap. I'd like to participate, but I hope that item isn't in your rules this time! I love scrappy and would love to get new prints this way!

I don't know if she will require it this time or not. Before completely counting the swap out, PM her and ask her. She may work with you.

the requirements will be the same... SOME fabrics have no writing on the selvage and that is perfectly fine to use..
its when we do the specific 1930 and Civil war fabs is when the selvage is def mandatory.. its how i do the search to confirm its authentic 1930's and civil war fab lines.. ..The selvage helps when a member LOVES LOVES LOVES the fab and hits me up what it is.. and i can quickly send the info out..

When the swap is up ( and will be soon !!!!) we can tackle the situation as it comes..

FYI - If youre a newbie to my swaps it requires a yard per 'set' ....
