One question... I am thinking of joining and was wondering what center I would do and I remembered that I have four 12" blocks done of compass stars all on black background. Can the center be the 4 blocks together?

ok, just a few questions.

i understand 100% washed cotton but the embellishing is an open statement.

so here are the questions

1) embroidery? hand or machine ? or none ?
2) beading ?
3) piping ?
4) decorative fibers?
5) painting ?
7) fusible web?
8) applique - must it be handwork?

Okay, o answer your questions. If you were the participant, there would be you and 5 others (6). You make the first block and send it on to the next person. Everyone else does the same, sending it to the person next on the list. Its a 12 month time frame. Okay.

These will have to be quilted later and mailed several times. On the current IRR...I did thread painting on a round on Butterflyspain's quilt..she did some hand embroidery with ribbons on mine...so...you could easily do most of what you listed. I'd be careful with the beading and piping depending on the size of the piping.

No the appliue does not have to be handwork.
