Hello ladies!!!
I took a break from the DQ swap to get some things done. I see I have missed out on some news! Krystyna I am so sorry for all that you have been through! I see the quilting guardian angels have been watching over you! How awesome is that?! Congrats to all those who have had new additions to their families and heartfelt condolences to those who have lost a loved one.

I am sitting this one out (have no choice because I read everything to late lol) so I will surely sign up for February!
Hope everyone has a great day (and New Year)! I look forward to seeing all the lovely creations for the new year!

Blessings,

Monique

Lyn, I saw those awful fires on television. How frightening. Will keep you and all in Tasmania in prayer.

As for my "back in action" doll quilt - I am scrapping my first one. Too murky. Back to the drawing board!

First, Lynnie, I am so sorry for what is happening in Tasmania. Please don't worry about the DQ being quickly done, I can wait. I haven't started yours yet. Went to Joannes yesterday. Planned to go to Sew Eligant as well, but DumbA$$$ left my purse home. No money and no list. Did look though. Question: when we say 3 colors, can there be different shades of those 3 colors? Turquoise and Purple. I like!! But sure couldn't find anything much with both colors. Maybe I am too fussy. LOL Work 5 days, then birthday parties, there have been a lot of them this last little bit, now DGS and DGD wrestling matches every Saturday and some Sunday. And they travel a loonngg way! I HATE leaving my house on the weekends. It didn't help being sick this last week. Sounds like a lot of excuses to me. I WILL get at my to-do list!! I vow to send a DQ to Tasmania before my birthday!!! Lynnie, I like lots of colors. I have a wild side, and I have a subtle side. I have a poster on my desk that says, "I have 3 sides. 1. the quite sweet side, 2. The fun and crazy side, and 3. The side you never want to see." Don't know why I felt the need to share that. Maybe I am just trying NOT to do the work that is piled up on my desk. LOL

Hobbykat - I love that spool fabric, so bright and fun. Can't wait to see the finished quilt.

Buslady - I want a sign like yours! It describes me perfectly.

buslady, I didn't realise you were having a birthday this month a good excuse to send you a little something extra. I have started your DQ and I sure hope you have a good sense of humor cause you will laugh at my DQ to you (well I hope you do). Anyway, both DQ and birthday surprise will get to you later than the 17th because the weekend after next I have a stall at the local Hobbies Craft and Collectibles Expo with my quilts so next week and that weekend are going to be super busy for me. And we are going back to our shack this coming weekend but I can get most of your DQ pieced there.. *Sigh*

Good news is that the bushfire disaster in Tasmania has eased, fires still burning out of control but not a real threat to any more towns or properties at present. And no loss of life so far so lots of prayers that it stays that way. And one of my favourite little communities down South where the fires were burning has been saved... this little community all have their houses/cottages/shacks named starting with 'Do'... the place is affectionately called 'Doo Town' LOL

Mainland Australia is gearing up for extreme temps today of over 40degC and a couple of States already have bushfires burning out of control, sure hope we don't have another day like Black Saturday in Victoria a few years ago.

You shared because it fits just about anyone I know LOL I love that quote, might have to put it into a little quilt. Now there's an idea for a quilt theme one month, we should find a quote we like (or our partner likes) and incorporate it into our DQ.... oh dear I sometimes wish my mind would quieten down
