Got my name and will be sending out SOON (I hope).

As some of you may know things have been a little helter skelter
around my area this week (since Saturday), as ONE (of about 12-14)
fires burning in Colorado is about 1 to 1-1/2 miles from my MIL's
house and 3-5 miles from my FIL's house. So not only are we on
"standby" to go down to the "Springs" (that is what we call the Colo.
Springs area) to help mom if needed now we are also on standby
in case that Waldo Canyon fire moves further north to dad's house.

Just wanted you to know will be keeping your family and you in our prayers...Here where we are last year we had 2 very bad grass fires, several homes within 3-4 miles of us burned to the ground, there was 1 firefighter who lost his life, and also a kennel burned to the ground, and several pets were lost...scary and sad...Usually we are having to watch for tornadoes, as we are smack in the middle of "Tornado Alley"...the fires were equally as scary if not more so...
Regards,
Kif

Hiya every one just wanted you to know i mailed my very first set of fat quarters out today a little northwest of me. Thank goodness Tropical Storm Debbie finally said her goodbyes, I had 8 inches of water in my yard on Sunday and Monday, so not fun, many road closes and sinkholes here now....sending prayers out to those who were most affected by this... any way i am way excited to be doing this and looking forward to getting my first set in the mail....

I soooo wish we could have gotten some of the water from TS Debbie
maybe it would help with these blasted wild fires that is ravaging us.

Kif,

Thank you! yes it is scary for my family as we are "helpless"
to do anything about the fires.

One of Colorado's long time iconic tourist attractions burned
to the ground on Monday it is a sad day for all of us in CO to
be losing the "Flying W Ranch" I personally had never been to
the "W" ranch but I heard that is was a great old time "working"
mountain cattle ranch that was tons of fun.

I have never been impacted by tornado's but I have seen the
amount of damage that they can leave behind also. Hurricanes
are also not a good thing I live in NC when Hugo hit.
