Keeping my promise....told you if Grandson posted a picture of his red and black anniversary quilt on Facebook that I would post a picture here, so here it is...as I said earlier, I'm not proud of it, but I didn't do the choosing.....

I would be proud if I made this, granky. It turned out awesome...so much work went into creating this unique, one of kind quilt.. We'll done! I have not ventured into picture quilts yet. This one inspired me!

Your quilt looks very nice and you put a lot of work into it, Granky, and they love it so that means it’s perfect!

You did a fab job with your red/black quilt. Lots of memories in those pics. Looks great. Granky, you should be proud.

Thank you Ladies....red is OK in small doses, but it is definitely not my color. At least I learned something...the next time (if I ever agree to such a thing again!) there will be lots of negotiating before any agreement!...both on colors and pattern....

Default dogs and cats

So I got started and picked a Bloomin' Minds pattern I bought about 8 years ago. Always wanted to do it and never did because of the hand stitched words......well, my hand stitching is still not very good (because I never practice) but I'm doing it anyway . I feel good that I've at least started!

Thanks quiltnNan and Teen. I've done a lot of ripping and will have to use a shot of steam to shrink up the needle holes but I'm having fun!
