Has anybody noticed that pre-cut fat quarters measure a scant 18" X 21" these days? Why do I continue to cut mine a generous 18" x 22" or larger?

Yes i have noticed that also. Most real quilt shops stay with the 18 X 22, but walmart, Ben franklin, Joannes, Hobby lobby... they are stocking msaller... I Just don't buy them! Most of the NON-quilt shops are stocking lower quality of fabric and selling them for alomost the same as Q shops... that's not right.. Here in our area WA. fats are 3.00. No way is the fabric at walkmart worth 3.00. Careful ladies and gents at what you buy if you want good quality.

Ladies, for those of you who inquire about my condition, greenini aka JO introduced me to a site you can visit daily for updates about my condition. You can go HERE to stay tuned on what's going on and I won't have to keep repeating the same story over and over. Thanks JO (greenini) for the site and all of you who have shown concern.

I actually have been cutting most of mine bigger than the 18x22, to make up for any pre-cuts I may also be sending that are smaller...lol...don't have any "reasoning" behind it, just what I do...

Well, if mine are like 19x23 or 24 I leave it and send it on. Not going to shave that little bit down to get it exact.

same here ... I'd rather send more than less.
Got my summer fabrics gathered and bought, just need to wash fabric and cut and then wait for name. I'm excited to see who gets these .... and what they do with them. That's the best part of this swap.
