Zennia, this is my 4th swap here too! The gals on this swap are fantastic and so nice. Worked on my pincushion this morning and I think it needs to be tweaked a little bit, then it will be done. This is the 1st time I have used the ground walnut shells for stuffing a pincushion, it really worked pretty slick.

Zennia, you're going to make a beautiful pincushion, I just now it. so don't worry, have fun with it.

Cheesehead, I too got some crushed walnut shells, l like the density of it too.paid a lot at the quilt show,
but didn't want 10 lbs of it sitting around from the pet shop.

USPS says my partner received hers yesterday.. no word yet. lynnie those walnut shells go faster than you think, I buy them by the bag at the pet store, 40lbs. at a time. Alot nicer than poly if you want to keep those needles sharp.

Thanks for that hint, jaba. I may have to go to the pet store tomorrow after work! Although I think 40# is a LOT! I hope they come in smaller bags because I couldn't haul 40# to my car anyway.
