I cannot lie, I broke down in his office and again when my husband I were leaving. All this because a GF of mine emailed me a couple of weeks ago and told me she was diagnosed w/breast cancer. I had not been for a mammogram in 2 yrs but after hearing that from her is when I scheduled mine. I am glad I did now. I will keep you all informed but please send me lots of prayers. And for those of you who have NOT had your mammo yet, GO GET IT NOW!
Teresa,

I'm so sorry for this diagnosis. I reacted exactly the same way, and yes. It was cancer BUT I had calcifications the first time in '93..yup, it was dx'ed as both dcis and lcis (ductal carcinoma and lobular carcinoma in situ, means they hadn't spread). Had just a lumpectomy, tho knowing what I know now, I would have had radiation and probably taken Tamoxifan for 5 yrs. 6 yrs ago, after somehow missing a mamogram, they found it again, same breast, same area. This time in addition to the lumpectomy, they did do radiation, plus 5 years of various anti-estrogens. I feel very lucky that it is all behind me now and altho it wasn't too bad, I am ok with it. They just know so much more now....they can test it if it is cancer and find out if chemo is going to be helpful, they can tell if anti-estrogens will work....

There is a ton of info out there, if I can be of any help, if you want to PM me, please feel free.

A huge thank you with lots of hugs to my SP partner Moedeenie..All I can say is WOW!! I really love everything you sent me..The beautiful Christmas horse panel, the backing fabric, the fat quarters, the lint brush ( which I needed badly as my pekingese are blowing their coats) the darling "Happiness is Quilting" magnet, the yard work gloves, the cute little notebook, the dawn, and the darling pin cushion you made, and the cutest apron (which I am going to wear tonight while I cook) and some crocheted washcloths with a bottle of dawn, and some of my favorite candy ..Thank you again so very much..You are awesome!! I will try and post a picture when my kids get home from school..as one of them has my camera and apparently hid it ..Found a program that will hopefully let me downsize the picture so I can post it..Diana Lynne

Today was my lucky day! Recieved a wonderful package today from Mary, lawsonmugs. So many beautiful things made by Mary, the most darling arm chair pin cushion, a manicure set in a custom made case, the sweetest little wall hanging and a cute little sun bonnet that fits right on the handle of a crock pot lid. Beautiul Christmas fat quarters, 6 of them. And a cute square with my favorite comic strip characters on it, good old Earl and Opal from Pickles. And the list goes on, embroidery floss, a crochet hook, 2 great magazines, Raisinettes, awonderful note card and tags on everything all made by Mary. I can't post a picture right now, technical challanges. Hope to be able to do so soon.

Huge thank you's to Sustraley for the awesome package that I received...was definitely spoiled by her! Miss Daisy got treats from Sue's min pin and was very greatful. I got a new bag of Smarties, which is good cause I was out! Got lots of teas, some literature on her hometown area, a container for my beads, a keychain, a few patterns, a very cute oversize paperclip with a butterfly on it, a pretty mechanical pencil ( I am a mechanical pencil lover), a white wooden letter "S", a memo board, a memo book, an adorable handmade credit card wallet, a photo organizer for my scrapbooking, a book of stories and poems about Dogs, a quilt magazine with all fast and easy projects (my favorite kind) a large book of scrapbook ideas, pages and samples, a baggie of fabric squares and all kinds of fabric, including giraffe and dogs! LOVE IT ALL and THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

We all went to the Houston Zoo yesterday - what a gem and the grandkids loved it.

Woo, you should have it waiting for you. It said it was delivered today!!
