I am excited to see what blocks everyone receives. yahoo! I will mail my blocks out today also. I had fun making them and thought about my partners when I did. Especially the whip cracking leader of ours. I was thinking and praying the whole time.. this has to come out perfect. I don't want to be a failure on my first shot here. I wonder how sometimes you sew a block and its perfect. no seams need ripping out it measures exact and then you sew that block again and its off 1/8th an inch. in the middle now its lots of seams coming out. I think I am doing the exact same thing and yet there is a discrepancy. argh that bugs me! On my own blocks for me? it can be a bit off I can fudge it into a quilt but with block swaps its not an option. Perhaps this is a good thing forces one to work to be better. ok its a good thing

HAHA, Brat, you're not the only for sure. Don't know how many times I've made duplicate blocks and one will be off a smidge!! Yet they were cut and sewn the very same way.... I'm in a BOM at a LQS here, out of 10 we've made, I don't think there is one that measures correctly. I have come to the conclusion it's her measuring when she typed the instructions!! Several others have complained too, so we'll just adjust, but it's disgusting to pay for blocks and not have them correct!! One gal said the other day "guess I'll just make all 10 1/2" and be done w/it!!" Sad...

Hey, do you like applique? I have one partner's blk done, working on yours, it's applique, but if you don't want that in your quilt jes say so, I no problem making something else..

Ya'all be sure to post blocks you receive, if unable to post, have your partner do it.. Thanks... Eye candy is always good, ya know....

I came home today to find a fantastic block from Groovy Pieces. I am sorry I can't post a picture of it. I am hoping she can. It is made from fabric of prary colors representing sports with teddybears watching a game' and adorable Peanuts characters as well. Certainly will make any child who receives it in their charity quilt smile. Thanks so much, Groovy. Your block was mailed today.

Well... I had an idea and I had motivation. I'm not entirely sure what constitutes "teen girl" so I ran the pattern & fabric by the girls in my 5th period geometry class and they gave it 1.75 (out of 2) thumbs up. They really wanted zebra stripes but that was far too directional to even begin to contemplate.

I like applique and use those for wall hangings not in quilts that get well used as I think they are not so super for lots of washing only dry cleaning I think? either way it will be used trust me I am open for another block trade if anyone wants to do one. I have time!
